What was your most romantic date? Mine was when a boyfriend picked me up from art school in Miami and he flew me to Nassau for brunch, dinner and breakfast! I really loved it. Uhhh no sex, either. I had a very strict 3 month rule. lol

Definitely can't top that Rosey...hey but where there is life there is hope. So I am here still waiting and hoping to have one soon :-)
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
I had a very simple but romantic lunch date with Curt while I was pregnant. We went to a little restuarant in Manhattan, then walked around the city like tourist holding hands. I'm planning to take him to Atlantic City in the next two weeks for some adult time, LOL! We're taking the boys with us because I hate being away from them too long, but we'll have adjoining rooms.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
Hey Niquey....love the new look and the HB's name. Love the story and I ma sure the weekend in Manhattan will be just lovely.

My most romantic date was very simple. It was one afternoon when FH picked me up, gave me a dozen roses and then we went for a walk in the park. We talked and shared and I began to see him in a totally different light. It was wonderful.

You must have had one romantic date with someone. That date wasn't with hubby. lol. He is romantic in a different way, but it is so honest. Nothing shady about Eloi.

Yes...now that I remember there is one that I will consider for this post...a long while back my mom allowed this guy from our church to take me out one evening and he took me to the beach....it was dark and if you ladies know about Nassau we have some awesome beaches here with beautiful white sand...the moon was out full that night and we walked and talked and stopped and kissed....oh my Lord it was totally romantic...the only thing you could have seen that night was the sand and for some reason it was a majetic glowing white....very very romantic, It totally took my breathe away.....I guess you can say simple things gets to me more than elaborate things.

I felt like I was there Char;ley! Nassau is so beautiful under moonlight. You had the sound of the surf and your heartbeat to keep you company. That is a top 10 date for sure!

Oh Rosey so you know what I mean..the beach is named Love beach and you are so right about the waves...I can actually remember crying out there that night where it was so romantic...I just could not help myself...it was so beautiful. It felt like he and I were the only two on the island.

When we got engaged. All the plans he made were very romantic.
But outside of the engagement, on our first Valentine's day as a couple, he had 7 guys from FAMU sing to me a personalized song at my apartment. They just showed up at my doorstep and started singing. One of them was a friend of mine so I was still kind of confused. After they sung and I was about to cry, my fiance (then boyfriend) appeared from behind them and brought me 2 dozen roses. It was really romantic and it let me know then he had a soft sweet side.

I would have to say the night he proposed to me...Before that, the most romantic date was one night he arrived to my house with some flowers & a present. The present was a gift card to the Coach Factory for major $$$!! Then he said, 'pack your bags, i'm taking you to Sanibel Island, FL to visit their Coach store and getaway! (what woman doesn't love shopping and especially for designer handbags & accessories!) That was one of the best surprises I've ever had!
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Thanks House.
Cinny, girl, you definitely got a winner! (But you know that already.)

When we started dating, my FH and I would just go for rides at night when my mom would babysit for me. We would go to this "lake" and walk around it and talk about the things we want out of life. Then we would go to McDonald's and get sundaes. It didn't cost much but we loved spending that time together and it's great memories.
(P.S. We don't live near the lake any more.)
One thing I find DW is that those special moments we share with our significant others is not about the money. Some of me and FHs greatest times were spent walking and holding hands or talking at 3:00am -- LOL!!!

I agree Rhonda! It is really important to keep things that way too. I am going to start a new thread "keeping the sparks".
Me and my FH dated all through my college years, we broke up when I was like 24, we got back together almost 2 years ago when he got back from Iraq. One of the most memorable things we used to do the first time we were together is sometimes on those cold rainy days I just didn't feel like going to class. So I would call FH and tell him, he would then get a really nice hotel room, we would order food all day long, watch TV, talk for the WHOLE day. I absolutely LOVED that, we talked about everything. Oh yeah....don't tell my mom I skipped class lol....
BUMP.....please share.....
Update....nothing overly romantic since we got married....we've been working hard, leaving town a lot, but he hasn't topped our "pre-marriage" dates yet....I'll let him get away with it for a little while longer since I am working on some projects...but our anniversary is soon, and Valentine's day right before that....and he had better get it together!lol

It was the first date with theboy I would eventually marry. Although
we are no longer married, we are still very close and do love each
other. Being with her that night was magic~~the planning was simple and
being a romantic it was perfect. What we did was special, but nowhere
near as special had it been with someone else.

Welcome Laurel! Are you saying that your date while romantic could have been better if it had been someone else in particular you were with? LOL. I think I could name MANY dates that would have been more fun with better company. :)
