SSSSSHHHH!

Wow...that's a serious slap in the face. Which is why I haven't said anything about what we're doing. (I tell the people at work that we're eloping! My best pals are out of the loop as well b/c when I talk about it they either act 'funny' or get depressed) I will let mom & my sisters know to keep our plans & ideas on the hush. Problem is my mom loves to brag about my wedding plans.

i had that happen to 1 of my brides i was planning her wedding. it was a double ring cermony they 2 woman were sisters. however they went dress shopping at different salons and on the wedding day the church doors opened and out came the wedding party, and then the brides and even shopping at different salons they had brought the same dress, the wear the same wedding dresses and the sam cocktails dresses. aint that crazy

I still havent told anyone about the dress or dresses I've been looking at.I havent even told about the bridesmaids dresses.The only person I know wont say anything is my mom and she's een giving me alot of helping picking dressed out.I know if I told one person in FH family then everybody and they mama would know and i kinda want to keep it a secret.I dont even want FH to see it.He been seeing the styles I've been looking at and loves them all but he doesnt know which one imma pick.

My mom and I are the only ones who know about my dress. I wouldn't dare tell anyone at work about any of my plans or even about my wedding. There are some haters out there!

I had to learn a painful lesson, before I actually realized that I must keep my mouth shut. I shared some of the details of the wedding with my daughter's godmother. She ran her mouth told everyone she knew and even went so far as to say that she thinks I was making a very big mistake marrying my FH. Now mind you she's never met him, and I never told her anything negative about him. I confronted her and she had the nerve to flip on me! Can you imagine, of course I had to let gurlfriend know that true friends don't behave like that and that her friendship doesn't serve any purpose in my life. I never expected her to hate on me like she did (she is married). Needless to say she has apologized, but I don't trust her and she will never have a front seat in my life ever again. From that point on I realize that I must keep my mouth shut.

You ladies are the only ones that know the jist of my planning. Besides you guys, my mom knows too, but every time she sees the "Balance due" portion on things, she almost passes out. lol So, I have to space out what I'm telling her. lol

Wow, Niquey.Thanks for sharing that.It's amazing how you're own friends will stab you in the back.The only problem that I've had in discussing my wedding is that my mom and 2 of my BM's suggested that I change my colors from gold and white to cream and white.I keeping my colors!

i keep my wedding plans under wraps, other than my mother, b/c everyone wants to give you advise and tell you want to do and they aint paying for a since thing but they wanna plan your wedding

I'm glad you are keeping your colors Platinum. People always have their 2 cents to offer, but the fact of the matter is it your wedding. I've learned the hard way to keep my mouth shut, and since I have learned that painful lesson, things have for the most part been flowing smoothly.

At the beginning of my planning, I had to ask my mother, why aren't you saying anything about the planning. I mean she wasn't saying if she liked an idea or if I should change something. I finally asked her why (because it was starting to hurt). She said well, being that me and your father isn't paying for your wedding, I didn't feel like I should say anything. I had to correct her right then and there and tell her she's my mother and I value her opinion more than I do anyone elses (regardless of the fact that me and FH is paying for everything). She's sooo sweet y'all. Now, she is sooo involved and I love every minute of it.

That is truly a blessing Askalot! Mom sounds like a very sweet lady, congrats!

SeptBride that is very sweet of your mother you are very lucky to have that. I could not pay my mother to help me with my day, sometimes I feel like she competes with me when she should be there for me and that stings.

I didnt like New York either.she seemed too fake to me.She was all "in love" with Flava Flav and she didnt even know him like that.I couldnt see why,He not the best looking person in the world.Maybe it was the money. I think New York was there to pump up the show.She was on ther acting a fool.

How about my FH doesnt care if his om attends our wedding or not.His "mom" (which is really his aunt) adopted him and his sibilings when he was about 5 and she treated them like they were less dirty! He can care less about what she thinks about our plans so we dont ask. She's not too fond of me and neither am I of her because she "funny style" alot.She smiles in your face but talks about you like a dog when you turn your back. Thats really sad too because I wanted to plan something special for my mom and asked if he wanted to do the same for his mom and he gave me the most evil look in the world.He told me he wouldnt waste his time because she dont appretciate anything.I hurts me to know they are like that because I am really close to my mom and I thought all people were like that.It was a rude awakening when I found out differently.He's closer to my mom than he is with his "mom".

Wow, AllieS, that too bad about your FHs "mom". The fact of the matter is you guys have each other, and it is a blessing that he has a wonderful relationship with your mom. I wish you guys all the best.

The reason she "loved" Flava Flav was because he has money and she knew he is a celebrity (in his own right) - You say he is not the best looking person in the worl - please that man is so ugly he puts "ugly" to shame.

That damn HOOOPS won! I was pulling for her until I realized she was really childish. Flav is 46 years old. AND her mamma seemed to be jonsein' for him WHat's up with that???? I liked miss NY's bluntness and the fact that when he looked like he was gonna fall she said, "oh baby I gat you!" LOL I fell out! But she wpould ALWAYS have his back. HER mother is just plain EVIL though. I am positive that is what made the decision for him.

Oh you guys. You gotta watch them back to back! I am obsessed I watched every single rerun. When you do that you see things you didn't before. I think NY was a SUPER fan. (hence the crazy love thing) It turned more real as time went on. ALL of them were there because of his money. Even Oyster said she thought NY's feeligns were genuine. Becasue people kept SAYING she was fake didn't make her fake.

She was the most real. It was a competition. WHy would you be all chummy with someone who is vying for the attention of the man you want? That's just sill. [lol] NY was CRAZY, but I loved her butt anyway. Oh and Hoops started talking about deep feelings by the SECOND show! lol

I will have to catch the reunion show. I didn't really watch the regular episodes. If anyone knows when the reunion show airs let us know.

Happly, I'm not having a hard time with her because I'm not including her in anything. She is very, very wishy-washy. She always have so much to say about something but has yet to offer to help with anything. Let me take that back (she offered to print our invitations & programs after I bought the things that's needed). I really don't have time for her. Her way of thinking is not up to par with myself, so I don't entertain her AT ALL. I respect and love her because she's my FH mother, but besides that, I could care less.

My FMIL is deceased. I do have to deal with the older sister though. She has been rude and insensitive to me at times. My FH wants her to help out. To keep the peace I am letting her print my programs, but other than that she will not be helping.

I hope you do not have to kick her butt in your fabulous dress for messing up your programs - I woud not have trusted her with them at all.

Platinum, the white girl,Punkin,and New York did get into a fight becasue they were arguing the girl spit in New York face and hair. She was tryna run down the camera man to beat on her.I think they will fight at the reunion show too......either way it go New York will get her reevenge cuz you cant spit in a siatah face and get away with it!

i seen a preview of the reunion and punkin and new your do try to fight, and new york was just acting crazy on the preview

I KNOW! lol she just was so weird then all of a sudden when her mama started to feel him she turned up the A game. I think she is too dysfunctional to be with Flav. HE can be strange. He is an entertainer after all. He is very bright even though he is unpolished. He plays a few instruments and he is romantic. He can't help it if he gat Charleston in hi,. That's what makes him so cool. I really hate gold / platinum/ silver/ jeweled teeth. yuck. why did they make a come back??? was it because of him?????

I was just trying to get over the fact that New York was actually a woman, I don't know any female who acts like her. Flav is not attractive at all and I don't think Hoops was really interested in him.
