Hey J Rose welcome to the site. If your wedding has not passed and you haven't finalized any payments then go ahead and accept there late response. But sweetgirl if you already pay for the reception for those people who responsed in time - then tell them they too late...sorry.
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
I went through the same thing a couple of years ago with my parent's surprise anniversary party. People were still RSVPing up until the night before the party. It caused so much stress and aggrivation. After the event, my mother said I should've told them it was too late. People do not understand the importance of RSVPing until they are hosting an event. When my wedding come up, I am putting a note with my RSVP saying,
"If I do not receive a reply by Aug. 31st, I will assume you cannot attend. After the deadline, I will not accept any further RSVP's as arrangements need to be properly made for the reception. Thank you for your understanding."
Hi Jazzyrose, I've read where if your RSVP date has come and you still haven't gotten responses from people either you or someone you designate should start calling those people 2 days after the RSVP date to get a yes or a no. If you're paying per head like me, after the 2 days they will be told to "fagetaboutit."

Welcome JazzyRose! I agree with all of the other ladies' responses. If people have responded after your deadline, then I would call or send them a note telling them sorry but it is too late. People need to be considerate of other people's time and money and cooperate and get those RSVPs returned within the time frame.

What are you suppose to do if people RSVP after the close date on the invitations?
