Ladies, I am not sure how to honor my FH's best friend who would've been a groomsman in our wedding. He past away last week of a massive heart attack. FH says that he wants to do something to honor his memory, but technically he is not a family member. Would you ladies have any ideas? Would the memorial candle/vase work for him too? Is this proper? All advice is mostly appreciated.

Hey Ronnie, so sorry to hear of your FH's friend. No matter how you Honor him, I don't think that anybody would think of it as inappropriate (atleast I don't want to think so). I don't see anything wrong with the memeroy candle. Maybe you could have a moment of silence in his honor.
I was actually thinking a moment of silence during the ceremony too and also a note on the program (in memory of...) I think honoring him is very appropriate. Remember it is your wedding and you and FH can do as you pleae. What ever you do I'm sure it will be nice and meaningful.

My FH's cousin passed a few weeks back too. He would have been a groomsman. We're placing a candle or flowers where he would have stood.
Only 38 more days!!
I have talked it over with FH and we will be honoring his memory with a candle. I am also feeling the moment of silence. I'm sure we will be able to fit that in as well. Thanks for your great advice.

A White rose or a candle in his honor. That's a nice touch.
