Hey ladies, how have you been doing? I haven't been around in a while, there was a fire at the townhouse next to ours and we've been trying to get life back to normal ever since. I tell you, its ONLY by the grace of God that my dear husband and I are still alive, with a home and belongings, the other home was burned so badly that its uninhabitable now. The folk next door were mad crazy anyway but that particular day they were a special kind of weird. The preliminary investigations seem to be pointing to arson...what a world we live in where people would torch their own home! We're doing all right, had a lot of smoke and with my husbands asthma and allergies we had to vacate the house for a while. We're back home now, praise the Lord, and DH has landed a new job and I was offered a substitue teaching position with the potential for a full time gig next school year....God is good I tell ya!
Thanks to all of you who have spared me a thought in passing over the past few weeks and months, I think sometimes I wasn't grateful enough for the sistahood til I was sidelined. For any new brides out here, welcome to you and I'm sure you'll enjoy the wealth of info and pure friendship shared here.
I FINALLY updated my avatar to the emerald ring...kool huh, its my birthstone and so I'm using it to symbolize the rebirth in my life!

Hey there Taunyana, missed ya much! God is soooo good. I am glad to hear that you and your husband are alright and still have your home and belongings. Congrats on the new jobs for you guys, after all that you've been through, you deserve it. The devil has been busy all around us, but one thing I know is that God is in control!

I'm very happy that you and FH were safe and okay. I hope the people get locked up for a long time if it was arson.

I am so glad to see you and know all is well! You are so lucky because the fire could have spread to your house so easily! It must be a nightmare for your DH with his asthma and that burned out house next door.
