I would love to see your programs. Here's mine, Rhonda's Programs. The inside of the program is blank and I will be doing it myself to cut down on expenses. Please share your ideas.

I like these but they cost too much. I had even considered making them myself, but if I do, they won't be heart shaped because I won't be able to cut that shape out. The program B2B wants

Thanks......I like yours too. I'm still undecided though. On one hand, I like the fans because their different, but on the other hand, I planned on putting together a "booklet" program.
It was going to have the usual stuff like the order of ceremony and bridal party names, but I also wanted to add somethings such as the lyrics to the songs I chose for us to walk down to, a poem, the meaning of jumping the broom, the meaning of either the unity candle or sand ceremony (which ever one I choose), tribute to deceased loved ones, and special thanks.
*If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything*
B2B, including the lyrics is really cool. I've never seen that done before. You ladies are just so creative.......

B2B maybe you can go to a craft store and buy some heart shapes to use to draw and cut the programs. Also you can do it book stlye by adding a few pages and a ribbon at the end to close it so the guest can actually use the fan.
I havent picked out programs yet, shoot I cant even decide on an invitation...lol.but when I do I will be sure to post it.
Please make sure you do AllieS.

Hey I'm doing the fan programs myself. If you have a good printer, I say go for it. You can use Microsoft Word to shape your fans. Go to the view menu, choose toolbars, and then choose drawing. It will add the drawing toolbar at the bottom of you screen. Click the button auto shapes. Then choose basic shapes. Pick the heart or any shape you want. Then you'll see a cross on the screen. Hold the left mouse key down and drag it until you get the shape you want. I just used text boxes to type what I wanted on the fan. I printed it out and cut along the line. Easy as pie. Here's pic of the front of my fan.
Sorry about the mess on my desk.

Thanks so much Tonya. I am going to try it out as soon as I get home!! I hope it works!
*If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything*
Tonya, that came out really well. What type of paper did you use? Also what kind of printer do you have?

I used 110 lb. card stock paper. I think Wal-mart carries it, but I got mine from Office Depot. I have a raggedy inkjet. They came out very well. I've had mine for six years and it's time for another. I will have to print 200 back pages for the programs. I wish I had a color laser printer.
Thanks for asking that question Askalot. I was getting ready to ask the same thing.
I also want to know what you are using for the handles, and how are you attaching them?
*If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything*
Another question, did you use standard scissors to cut? It doesn't look like it to me. You did a VERY great job. Also, if you don't have a color printer, how did you print the monogram?

I got over 300 paint sticks from a company that my job gets paint from. They were free. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot to see if they will get you some. I haven't attached them yet, but I saw on another site that someone used E6000 glue. I've seen it in Wal-mart. I'll let you know as soon as I do one.

I used regular scissors to cut them. They are titanium scissors. I don't know if that makes a difference. They will cut anything! I have a color printer. It's just an inkjet. I did the monogram on Microsoft word using text boxes.
TonyaLanette, as the other ladies said. You did a GREAT job. Thanks for sharing.

I am using a fan for my program. I am using coral and ivory cardstock. Paint stirrers that i will spray paint bronze or gold. And then tying a ribbon on it. I will use spray on glue to hold the sheets together. It will be very time consuming because allt he edges have to be rounded. But it saved money all supplies for about 250 sheets of each cardstock was 13.50 a piece. I got the paint stirrers free, spray paint and glue 10.00 and ribbon 1.00.
