I just got back from seeing "The Family That Preys Together" and Tyler did his thing yall. This is his best movie yet. None of his other movies can hold a candle to this one. I love Sanaa Latham as an actress and she played the hell out her part. I HIGHLY recommend this movie.

I've seen the The Marriage Counselor back in March ...and it was funny! Me and the kids watch the House of Pain every Wednesday together ...and crack up for 2 hours straight!! The movie was good also imo ..and I do agree Tyler gets better with every movie.
I have a few comments I want to make about the movie BUT don't want to spoil it ...so let us know when we have enough ppl to discuss :)

I loved this movie. Even though Andrea was wrong as hell I still loved her character. From the begining of the movie my DH was like if you acted like that I would smack the hell out you (yeah right) but I was surprised to see him actully smack her. I really loved Kathy Bates. Her daughter in law sure did set Andrea straight toward the end. I loved it I want to see again already. By know I hope we all have seen it because when we went on Friday it was packed.

My brother told me the same thing last night...I can't wait to see it!!!!
DH & I were going to see it Fri. night but instead we start bracing for the bad storms (that we did not get) so our plan is to see it this weekend!!
Thanks PamCrow for this information. I just love Tyler Perry and what he is doing! I will check it out soon!!!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
From what I heard, he got 2nd place this weekend in sales, $18 million but he only spent $9 million to make the movie. They said it was a not so good movie weekend all around.

So much happened in the news this week that It's easy to see why movie sales weren't as good as normal. Between storms, train & bus crashes, and all the things happening on Wall Street, it's been quite a week. I'm sure movies is the last thing on some people's minds.

This is the review I wrote for that movie on Flixter:
This movie was about relationships more than anything else--friendship, marriage, family and the dynamic between rich folk and poor folk and white folk and black folk. It was refreshing to see Sanaa Lathan in a role reversal. Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard are seasoned professionals, so needless to say, their performances rocked. I loved seeing Robin Givens in another powerful female role reminiscent of "Boomerang." It was a pretty good movie. I actually thought it ended a little too soon with a neat wrap-up, and I wouldn't have minded seeing more of what would happen next.
