All I can say is, OH MY!! I wonder if that first girl had something over her, then when she got to the prom, she took it off. I can't imagine anyone's parents letting them wear something like that! If so, they need to be locked up!

I see that everyone is asking where these girls' moms are. The truth is that thier moms are probably waiting to borrow these dresses if they have not done so already. The only way I can think that any mother would approve of some of the "dresses" is that they dress the same way. It's a mess and a shame, but they had to get it from somewhere

TAJMOM! I feel you on that one! My daughter is 16 and her father and I are just beginning to DISCUSS her being able to date. We are old fashioned and before we let her date, we have to meet this young man and give our approval. The next thing is we will meet his parents. If we don't feel good about it, it isn't going to happen. I am very grateful because my daughter is very respectful, and while she thinks we are stuck in the medieval ages she is willing to go along with our way of doing things. I like you style girl, that's right be all up in your son's business, because that is what's wrong with a lot of our young people, their parents are not interested in their lives. This picture is strikes me as dead wrong every time I see it! My mom got sent a slide show from a ghetto prom in pittsburgh. I wanted to post it but there was no way to post it without downloading it. Which she didn't want to me to do. When I get home I'll try to find it so I can email it. The pics I saw were WORSE than this.
Which begs the question. Do you guys remember a classy prom?? Where did it go?!...I mean I graduated in 02 and there were a few ghetto messes there but it was over all classy. I'm going to upload my prom pic when I get home. If you can find your prom pics you should post them.
Girl I graduated in 97 and we where a bunch of plan jane's. Nothing like today. And after the prom we went to White Castle got something to eat and brought our butts home.

I'll have to post my prom pics. I had moved from the kids I grew up with, so I had a teacher hook me up to where I can attend my old high school's prom. I didn't have a date, but I still had a great time!The pro pics were pictures of me and some girlfriends I hung out with at the school.
There were a few cleavages here and there *I'm guilty*, but other than that, we were all a pretty classy bunch. I didn't remember anybody standing out that would belong to one of those websites and we didn't wear any of those loud tacky evening gowns that I usually find on the clearance racks.

OMG that is weird. Mine was almost the ame as my prom dress too. Off the shoulders fitted through the hip and yes girl I had achapel length train on my dress! i was voted prettiest dress, but I didn't run for Prom Queen. That honor went to somebody else. Her dress was CRAZY. So bright yellow. God bless the '80s! lol

I LOVE Christian. So fabulous. I remember that girl. She had a mouth on her and acted like she was a designer too. She kept giving him tips on how to get the look she wanted. But IMHO he was probably pissed that she was plump and he had to make something for her. They were always bent out of shape when they got full figuered clients.

You might be right about him making full figured clothes. All he needed to do is to make the bodice and the hemline longer and it would have been halfway decent. That dress was just slapped together.

Do you guys watch Project Runway? I love Christian Siriano (winner of season 4), and he had some fantastic, artistic pieces on that show.

But he did that poor girl wrong when it came to the prom dress challenge. She's the one in the middle.

I LOVE Christian. So fabulous. I remember that girl. She had a mouth on her and acted like she was a designer too. She kept giving him tips on how to get the look she wanted. But IMHO he was probably pissed that she was plump and he had to make something for her. They were always bent out of shape when they got full figuered clients.
So Blessed to be in love and to be loved back.
I had to take a second look at the prom mother picture. Is it my eyes or is her dress cut way too high. I think that baby is frowning because she can see her mother's business! YUCK!

You might be right about him making full figured clothes. All he needed to do is to make the bodice and the hemline longer and it would have been halfway decent. That dress was just slapped together.

I actually know someone who wore something very similar to my Military Ball. My dress was AWESOME by the way. but I behaved so scandalously I still blush when I thin about it. smh
