Nosey Neighbors

Rony,I've had some nosey neighbors in the past, but yours takes the cake!That mail situation is awful.We all know that UPS has scanning machines in their warehouses so there's no need to open their customers' packages.When you order things by mail, you may want to ask the shipper to get UPS to make sure that they have restricted delivery.That way,your packages are delivered to no one but you and your FH.

Isn't it against the law to open other people's mail?...Girl I would have taken this to the next level....absolutely no no!!!

Wow Rony! I would have completely lost it! However, you handled it the right way by writing the letter. That was warning so if they do it again then you have a right to show them how upset you are. The nerve of some people. I was pissed yesterday when I was sitting on my couch in the family room of my new home and saw my new neighbor walking around my entire house watching her dog poop in my yard. I have been trying to figure out the right way to say something without being really ugly. We are the only blacks in the entire subdivision so I don't want to come across as an angry black woman. So now I will handle it the way that you and your FH did. Another thing that they have done that has annoyed the heck out of FH and I is they havea huge boat that is bigger than their home parked in their front yard. When someone turns on our street they can't even see our home. We have passed our own home and didn't realize it because of that big behind boat.(mini yacht) I promise that the boat cost more than the house.(My FH looked it up on the internet). I know we really have no control over it because we don't own the land but how inconsiderate. They've only lived there about a month and this is what's going on. Ok, thanks Rony for op3ening up that can of worms, I needed that! You pray for me and I'll definitely pray for you in your situation.

Lawd hammersey!!!!!! They must be related to my landlord! Everytime we either leave or come in the house, one of them are in the window. However, they have never opened up any of my packages. Charly, yes, it is a federal crime and they could go to Federal Prison. Even my landlord's kids are nosey. It's only 2 blacks (myself included) on my part of the block, the rest are Brazilian or Portugese. (sp?)

Without sounding stupid they have seperate prisons for seperate crimes?

Yes. Over here if it's a crimal (murder, robbery, etc) or civil (landlord disputes, someone owes you money, etc) you either go to the county or state jail(prison). If it's a Federal crime (stealing from a bank or anything having to do with money, opening mail, etc) you go to Federal prison.

Interesting...over here we have ONE prison and everyone goes there for eveything....that's probably why it is over crowded...hmmm!

You'll probably need to have the Federal Marshall show up at your neighbors door just to get the message across.

You also have minimum,medium, and maximum security prisons.

Now if it was their stuff they would have gone off on you with the quickness. Its obvious they dont give a darn about your feeling so why should you care about theirs? GYRL stop being nice to them.Tell them to keep they nosey azzez out the window and doors when your door opens.It aint noe of they biznez who is coming and going in and out your house. If they aint paying yo rent and bill they shouldnt be all up in yo bizwax like that.

I would report it to the police, damn the landlord! But that would bring out biotch in me; I'd send myself a package with unscented powder in it, include a note that says 'Can you guess what this is?' and have a list of posibilities, Anthrax being one of the choices. End it with 'you should have yourself check, you may have been exposed to....'

But that's just me!

Niquee you tryna put Rhonda in jail...Gyrl a packege come like that and they would swear it was anthrax and they would trace the order back to her.We cant afford to looses a sistah but we can get rid of nosey neighbors. Gyrl you sound like you one of my relatives with that idea.Thats something my mama would have said after she told me to go open a can of whip azz....lol

Rhonda please let us know what the police says. I really dont like your neighbors. I've been living in my apartment for 1 1/2 years and I still dont know my neighbors. I just know the office workers and thats fine with me,I stay to myself and they stay to their self. I have to do that cuz stuff like what you are going through will get me put out of my apartment!

No, I'm not saying she should do that. I saidI would do it. Honey, I would word a letter in such a way that broard wouldn't know what hit her, and when she did make a call to the cops, she'd be the one in jail!

OMG!!! I am a very private person and I would never dream of asking someone what is in thier mail ( not even my husband) let alone signing for AND opening it. I just don't have that type of nerve. They need to get a life of thier own and get off of your mountain.
