Hello and welcome to the site, lysias!I haven't thought about having airbrush makeup done.I think one of the pros to it is that it should feel lighter than traditional makeup.Almost like wearing no makeup at all.Maybe some of the other sistas can shed some light on it...
Since I am a lip gloss only sister, and I am not familiar with this "airbrush" style of having make-up done, would one of you please tell me what that is. Thanks.

I'm a lip gloss only sister too and I didnt even know you could airbrush your make up on. Please give details on how this is done. I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to wear any makeup at all on my wedding day. FH doesnt like make up and neither do I, I've only worn it once (for prom and after pictures I took it off) but I only did it for my mom. The one time I did wear make up it broke my face out so I wasnt too happy about that at all.
Airbrush cosmetics are the most amazing, vanishing, lightest feeling makeup you have ever experienced. It sprays on as miniature pigment dots that lift and blend seamlessly with the skins own natural patterns.
Airbrush makeup is hypo-allergenic, water based, water resistant, and won't rub off. It dries instantly, no powder is required, and it gives a superior matte finish that lasts all day.
Ideal candidates for airbrush makeup, usually prefer a matte finish, are acne prone, have oily skin, or have severe discolorations.
Airbrush makeup can also be used on the chest, arms and back because it does not rub off on clothing like traditional makeup does.
I too am thinking about having a tattoo airbrushed for my wedding day. My tattoo is on my chest and I don't want it to show. I was debating between dermablend leg and body coverup or airbrushing. Does anyone know which is better? Also, ho can I find airbrushing places in Los Angeles?
Welcome to the site,Care bear.Check your local yellow pages under make-up artists or beauty salons. There should be lots of place to go in the Los Angeles area.
Can anyone in the North Jersey area recommend a good makeup artist that will come to the house on wedding day. I am not a big makeup wearer( lip gloss and eyeliner),I want to really look nice that day. I don't want to go out and buy a lot of stuff that I may never wear again. There will only be myself and my two sisters who would need to be dolled up!!!
I googled a product I heard about on the MAC cosmetics website because I wear the lip pencils in my favorite shade-chestnut. This product is a primer used for models, etc. This beauty wonder comes in a spray can and is supposed to even-out the skintone before photo shoots:

I have not tried it yet, but am going to go to a few makeup counter
(Iman, Flori Roberts, Fashion Fair maybe) to see who gives the best foundation coverage for oily, spotty skin (as we all know, wedding pictures do not lie).

I have never worn make-up so deciding on which products to use is unbeknown to me. I am going with my bridesmaids to mac to do a trial make-up session. I think I am going to stay on the safe side and use only earth tone colors, such as browns. I am uncertain who will be doing my make-up on my wedding day. Either Mac or Mary Kay.
I actually do wear make up frequently, I also have a good skin care regimen. You definitely need to cleanse your skin well if you are going to wear make up. Anyway, I use the maybelline dream mousse foundation ( it is matte cover so no need for powder)also very light as well. In additon I wear blush, eyeliner and gloss. I have found that it is not the type of make up you wear but how you apply it and how you treat your skin before applying it. For the wedding I am having my make airbrushed because as Angela said pictures don't lie, besides airbrush does not wipe off, wear off or smudge. Your make up will look good all day. That's what I want.

I did a lot of research and it seems that some make up artists are certified in airbrush technique, and have taken classes on how to use the airbrush machine , although I think that they can still do it if they are not. So it's best to check with each individual because some of them only do traditional make up application.

Here's some basic information I found on the web.

Thank you Iysias, that was very informative. I might consider having my back airbrushed because I have a few dark spots and my gown is strapless.

Oh by the way where would you have something like this done?

Well I googled "airbrush makeup" and my hometown and there quite a few salons who do them.
I have very oily skin and I need something that won't me shine like a new car.I may look into airbrush makeup.

Air brush is also an excellent method of tatoo cover-up. I have one on my upper shoulder and I plan to have it air-brushed over for the wedding day.
