Can you believe how fast time is flying? How are you ladies doing? Has the anxiety kicked in as yet. Well I'm starting to get a little nervous because I have a few loose ends that need to be tied. (If I left any 2006 brides out, it was not intentional and pull my coat tail so that we can celebrate you too!) You 2007 brides your dates will be here sooner than you will think! Rony,things aren't going very well for me financially but I hadn't given up!I still want to have my dream wedding.One of my FBILs called me the other offering to help us.I'll keep you posted...

We just crossed the 'six months until...' mark. No anxiety here. I've been relaxing the past 3 months because we've done everything that needed to be done in the first quarter of the year. The guys can't reserve their tuxes until 3 months prior (late Aug/early Sept) and my 2 BMs can get their dresses anytime. Premarital counselling doesn't start until 3 months before the wedding. I just hope I didn't forget anything.

Platinum I must tell you that God is ever so faithful!!! He is not a respecter of persons. He has opened doors for Island, myself and I am believing that he will open doors for you. If you remember Island's testimony she was in need of a financial blessing and it was a few day before her wedding -- God showed Himself faithful. He loves us and marraige is an honorable thing and he will bless you. Hang in there and don't give up! Be encouraged.

Hey Rosie, you know since I had to change venues I'm still trying to tie up some loose ends. I hope to have everything done shortly though -- as you say 2006 is almost over -- I can't believe how fast this year is going!

Ivs7145 you have gotten off to a great start. I didn't have nearly as much accomplished when I was at your stage of the game. Have you selected a color scheme as yet? If you have you may want to start picking up RB pillow, FG basket and all of the other little items.

Thanks Rony!! I am so stressed, and so excited at the same time. This is the weirdest feeling I have ever experienced!
I can honestly say I have gotten alot acomplished because I started early, but now the financial worries are kicking in. (look at one of my previous threads about rsvps) Deposits have been paid, but now balances are due. I can't wait to just enjoy the day, be a married woman, then go on my honeymoon.
Once all this is over, it's back to life as I had known it before. Not totally stressFREE, but not as stressFUL.

2) Booked photographer
3) Booked videographer
4) Booked DJ
5) Received favors
6) Have my wedding party
I have a toss up of 2 people for my flowers. I still have a lot to do! I'm starting up again with purchasing things in about a month or so.

Askalot, you really got it going on. Go 'head girl! When I gave my deposits, I put down a lot of $ just in case (if times got hard) I wouldn't have it later. Now, my DJ & photo/video balances are only $150! My FH paid off the venue when he got some overtime (back in March). Brought the wedding essentials in April. I've been cruising ever since.

Cinny, that was a great idea! I'm happy for you. My balances are high. I only put down a little (not even worth talking about) more than what was required. So, by balances are kinds high. :-( Hopefully, something will work out. The only good thing is I got "last year's" rates on mostly everything because the 2006 prices didn't kick in until April. So, I got 2 years worth of discounts. lol
I have done alot of leg work just waiting FH opinions on a couple of things. I've decided on MH,Bridesmaids, ring bearer, flower girl. Venue has been booked, cake decided on, invitations bought( I will doing them myself. Still trying to decide on a photographer and DJ. Waiting on the favor stuff from ebay that I ordered. I still have 11 months to go, but I want as much of this stuff paid off as I can get it. Time is really passing quickly, especially when things need to be paid for.

SeptBride....you have a year and you have so much done already!...We were about to get our deposit together for the venue and now the hotel has a few hitches so we're almost down to square one...we should know more about it by the end of the month. Today I chose my dress...I tried it on at Davids Bridal in tallahassee, and saw it online for about 300.00 less. I tried it on again today for my mom at the DB in Boynton and she loved it! So I will order that one in a week. Also, we are getting closer to booking the photographer....The DJ is next. The hotel will do the decor and the cake is from Publix, but we will order the cake next year.
Once we get the venue booked and get our deposit, I should be less stress about the location then....We're praying...
Whats left that I can think of?
1. Photographer-in negotiations but it looks good-we're close.
2. DJ-still working on it.
3. Wedding party-working on it....looks good, we're close
4. Favors-we're decided on them, we just have to order the cellophane bags, stickers, and ribbon...
5. Cake-will be ordered in Feb-March (Publix only needs 4-week order prior-but I know better)
6. Parents outfits-working on it...still deciding on their colors. because my mom looks like she can be my sister, we will get her a calf-length dress, really popular now...my mom gotz to look good! The men are all wearing black tuxedos.
7. Shoes, definitely only 2 inches...I found the most comfortable ones!
8. Weight loss plan-working on it-stay tuned.
9. Hair-havent decided (May do micros in an up-do)
