These are two of the 5 venues I have selected as an all-in-one ceremony/reception. *singing* I'm torn in between the two.

Decisions, Decisions! Ms. Lee both are gorgeous! I must say that although I like both, #1 was my fav.

Anothe Cali Bride! yeay for Cali! Welcome to the site jayda91764.
House #1 gets my vote.
you guys are so helpful! I was leaning more towards house number 1 also but you guys just pushed me over the edge, sometimes you need the input of your girls. If you look at one of the pictures of the family of the bride & groom, or what looks like the bridal party pic you can see a traditional korean wedding attire the hanbok. My FMIL has asked if I would be ok if she wished to wear a Hanbok.
We decided to incorporate both African & Korean customs in our wedding. We would like to jump the broom, the African 12 symbols of life orthe seven steps and have a separate Korean ceremony called a pae baek in which we honor his parents and ancestors.
Ya girl will be rocking a hanbok!

Will you be wearing it for the whole day, wedding and reception?
Will you FH wear traditional attire as well? And will the bridal party wear Hanboks too?

I will only be wearing it for the pae baek ceremony. FH will indeed be wearing traditional attire, only for the pae baek. Then I will be immediately changing into my big ivory dress & he into his tux.
The bridal party won't have to wear a hanbok. The pae baek is really small. Just both sets of parents & grandparents. We bow to his family first (grandparents then parents) and the same for mine. They throw food at me to catch in the hanbok (symbolizes prosperity & fertility). and then he gives me a piggyback ride around the room to show that he can support me fully as my husband.
I'm looking forward to the piggyback ride. Because in front of a crowd this man is a fool.

FH is going to give you the piggyback ride too, that's cool. The ceremony should be really nice, I know you've got to be nervous and excited! Have you thought about doing the reception around you heritage? When you enter as husband and wife you could jump the broom.

[quote="phenomonique"]Is FH going to give you the piggyback ride too or are you just doing the tea ceremony?

he's going to give me a piggyback. he said he is going to do something 'special'. that means something crazy.

nique if this man even THINKS of throwing me in one of those pools @ house #1 (if we get it) IT WILL BE ON! He does retarded stuff like that. He would have me on his back and he would just str8 jump in the pool. I can see it now and I swear if it happens, we will be BOXING!

Girl don't box! Turn it into something romantic, you guest would never forget the two of you dancing in the pool!

hahaha... I suppose so long as he soaks the hanbok and not my dress then we're ok. But damn, my hair is going to be ruined. Hahaha... I never know what he is going to do. I think his sponteneity is what has kept us interesting.

I like the idea of the two traditions. Him african attire you Korean attire, two heritages marrying into one, beautiful, I can see the pictures now...
Oh and I vote for the first one to!lol
Each One Teach One!
My vote is for #1.
When I saw #1, I didn't even want to look at #2. My mind was made up. However, I did look at #2, and it was beautiful as well, but I still vote for #1.

ONe reminds me of a hotel, but number 2 looks like a palace. It also has more covered areas so that if there is rain or even a high wind your guests will be comfortable. The grounds are spectacular and yet toned down. It looks as if a very gracious host was throwing a party for close friends. The first seems like a more public space.
