Hotel Reservations

Thankfully, my cousin is a manager at a major hotel chain and she will be getting my guests rooms for at $45. Thank God. I will probably reserve about 10-15 rooms.

WOW DAUGHTER RHONDA! THAT IS WHERE I AM HAVING MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION IN THE CRYSTAL BALLROOM. I HOPE THEY GAVE YOU A GOOD PRICE. AND YES I ALSO RESERVED 25 ROOMS THERE AT A DISCOUNT SINCE THAT IS MY VENUE. TOO BAD I DID NOT SEPT BRIDE'S HOOKUP. I DO HAVE A HOOKUP AT THE RAMADA FOR $50 BUT WE ARE NOT HAVING THE WEDDING THERE AND IT'S ALL THE WAY AT THE AIRPORT.

I blocked 10 rooms at 2 different hotels for my guests. Rhony, are you paying for their rooms too? I negotiated a great rate but we could not afford to pay for them.

We have a travel agent who is going to make all hotel and flight reservations for fh, me and the guests.

Rhonda and TAJ~ Who is getting married first? That is cool that you are going to the same place. It must be nice! I'm going to ask my sister about the hotel to see if I have every been by it. (she was born and raised in Brick City, NJ. LOL)

that is super! for my cousins wedding this coming weekend our rooms were $66 @ the Marriott with my aunts government discount. Almost my entire family works for the post office. We always joke that when we all get together no one will get their mail.

I ned a hook up like that...My FH might get a discount being a bus driver and all. I have been looking for rooms to book for out of towners and attendants.I found some for like $60 a night that aren't too far from the church. I still have time to look so I'm not too worried about that price right now.Hopefully I get something cheaper for them.

I to have to book lots( maybe 50) of rooms, the week of my wedding I'm really hoping I get a really good discount since I'm booking so many rooms and I'm having the wedding at a hotel.

Taj my brother just told me 2 days ago that he and his girlfriend want to get married on that same date! He's going to propose to her next month! Their favorite number is 7-I think its the biblical number for completion.

Oh but back to Rhony's question, since we are likely to move our venue back to Tallahassee, I will be inserting a small print-out of a list of hotels and prices....

If I can negotiate with a hotel for a good price, I will send a small brochure of the hotel and a sticker with the group rate with the invites. I am really just making sure that our immediate families and a few of our aunts and uncles get rooms-so I'll likely book theirs. All the 2nd cousins, and distant relatives are pretty much on their own unless they really really need help.

Girl, who are you telling. When I gave my parent's surprise anniversary party, the guests were so happy with the price of the rooms. Heck, I was happy for them. And the hotel is about 2 miles from my venue and will take guests about 5 minutes to get there. They're getting a lot for next to nothing - I just hope that they show their appreciation in my monetary gift. lol

My sister told me this is the hotel she spent her first honeymoon night.

I reserved 40 rooms for my guests, with a combination of King and Double beds. I hope I will have enough.

You ladies are a life saver. Someone must have know that this topic just came up with me and my FH. We need about 25 rooms. Our wedding date is 8/11/07. Like everyone else we have a hook-up at the Ramada and The Hampton Inn. The cost is about the same. We haven't decided which one yet but we will soon.

That is one thing that I dont have to add to my list. I am leaving that up to my quest.

Askalot, we are about to sign contracts with 2 hotels agreeing that they will hold like 15 rooms each at 60-70/night until 2 weeks before the wedding. After the set date, they will release the remaining rooms to the public at their regualar price (over 150.00/night) These are singles and doubles. We are under NO financial obligation if people don't book all the rooms. The guest have to book with a credit card and the cancellations policy (cancel by 6PM or you will be charged 1 night stay) will apply. In exchange, we will recommend them as the "Host Hotel" to our guests from out of town. So my guests get a good price, and the hotels get guaranteed money since the people are coming for an event. Hotels will do this even if your event is NOT at their hotel ballrooms. Just tell them you want to use them as the preferred hotel...

You guys should go here. Lots of hotels in your area will COMPETE for your business. offering the lowest prices too. Best of all it's free.

I think it's worth it so you won't have towaste time that could be spent trying on wedding dresses looking for a good hotel! lol

Rosie, I tried that. The hotel was too far and too expensive - $145.

Sorry!!!! I would be stuck if my hook-up left me hanging. I need to call him ASAP!!!!
