Hello Ladies,
It's me again! I just was wondering if it is a must to have a wedding coordinator. I have played out in my mind, over and over again on how I want my wedding, however my fmil is insisting that "WE" key word, interview wedding coordinators. I think that this will just be a waste of money. I can spend what I am going to paying her on my monogramed aisle runner. So I am coming to you ladies once again for your expert advice.

Fire Your Wedding Planner!

I am a wedding planner and I have to say if you have a small venue or responsible attendants you may not need a planner. Put together a list of tasks that have to be executed, on that same list (realistically delegate those tasks to someone. If you firmly believe everything on your list will be taken care of, pass on the planner.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
If you think that you can take care of everthing and you have enough help well you may not need one.Wedding planners can be booked only for the big day to make sure everything runs smoothly. You don't have to book them from the start of your planning.
I agree with Niquey & Nikki

Housewife,
I was really thinking that I needed a coordinator as well. But if you have some really responsible friends. Most duties can be assigned to them. I don't want to take on the extra expense when it's not necessary. Most in my wedding are asking me what I need help with. So things have all worked out.
If you don't have a coordinator, you HAVE to be on top of things....even if your friends are helping, its up to you to make sure they do their jobs....if someone is slacking, you are responsible for picking up the pieces....If you do want to use a planner, you should always use someone who you know has done more than a few weddings as well as someone you know is organized and even-tempered....if you're stressing, they can't be stressing....and Definitely talk it out with fiance.

i know i am late, but i am a stickler for doing things myself, this ensures they will be done right. Things done poorly or half assed does not a happy bride make. So here I am 3 years before my date planning like crazy. I have a folder of stuff on my computer and I have printed out many of them and have a list of ideas that I would like to incorporate into my day. Now I KNOW I will not be able to be all things on my wedding day. So I will probably have a cousin or fly Niquey out here (10 dollars a month) to SUPERvise these people on the day of to ensure my day is everything I have written on paper for it to be.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
I AGREE W/YOU FUTURE MRS LEE. THAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DO THINGS. I TOO STARTED 2 YRS B4 TIME AND NOW A LITTLE AFTER THE 1YR MARK, I AM ALMOST DONE. PLANNING AHEAD IS THE BEST WAY. I'VE EVEN DONE THE BOUQUETS FOR MY GIRLS, UNITY CANDLES,AND HAVE THE FIXINGS FOR MY CENTERPIECES. I HAVE MY GOWN AND ALL THE GIRLS GOWNS AS WELL AS MY FAVORS. THIS ALSO HELPS W/FINANCE SINCE WE ARE PAYING OURSELVES
