Quick question. Are you ladies using the same song for the brides maids and grooms men or are they coming in to differrent songs. I haven't made up my mind yet?

My husband wants his own "processional" so I am stealing an idea from Toni Braxton's wedding and he and his groomsmen are going to walk down first to So Fresh So Clean by Outkast( he thinks I came up with this on my own). The ladies are walking in to "Everytime I close my eyes" by Babyface then there will be silence for my 2 bellringers and my processional is going to be to "I wanna be your baby" by Toni Braxton.( another diva moment)lol lol lol...........

I was having that same dilemna. On one hand, I like the idea of every party coming in to their "theme songs" but that's alot of musical changes. On the other hand, I look @ it as keeping it simple would be easier w/me coming down a different song. So, Rhonda, I can completely understand your uncertainty as we're both in the same boat.
Georgia...I love your "Diva Moment" idea as well deserve one. That Babyface song's the one that I was referring to on a prior post regarding wedding songs. That song's w/Mariah if I'm correct & I'm seriously debating on that somewhere in my wedding. That song's absolutely beautiful...
My groomsmen are coming out by themselves. When the ladies come out the groomsmen will met them halfway down the aisle, hand them there flowers, and continue walking them down the aisle.
Thanks ladies. I will probably let the grooms men and brides maids come down to the same song. I didn't want it to be too much music changes. (I may change my mind again -- Lawd help me!!!) I will walk down to a different song. I guess either way it will work out fine.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
IM NOT GOING TO KEEP ON REPLYING TO POST THAT ARE SENT TO MY EMAIL ADDRESS I HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN BUT THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION ...............................ON WHO I NEED TO CONTACT.........ENJOY YOUR DAY LADIES
My bm's and gm's came down to the same song "New Birth" by Jeff Major. My husband came down the middle aisle after them to "Give You more" by J.Moss and I came in on "The One He Kept For me" by Maurette Brown Clark. I got a lot of compliments on my music choices and how differnt it was for the pastors, my husband, and the 3 best men to come down the aisle instead of ccoming out of a side door.
We walked in the reception on "At Last" by Etta James amnd once we got on the dance floor we danced off of "If this Word were Mine" by Luther Vandross.
I want out first dance to be to "Angel of Mine" by Monica. I want my girlfriend to sing "Ordinary People" by John Legend or "Love" by Musiq during the wedding or maybe both.

Excellent choices Mycanae! House which song from the Jamie Foxx album?
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
I dont remember the name of the song, but I can find out. I heard my soloist sing it with out music at a wedding I attended in June and he sounded amazing. He said it was on Jamie Foxx first album.
The bridal party will come down on Tamia and Eric Benet's "Spend My Life with You. I will come in on Whitney Houston's "I believe in you and me." (acapella version)We will probably dance to John Legend's "So High."
My first dance is going to be to KC& JO-JO- ALL MY LOVE! When the song first came out we was teenagers and my fh use to sing this song to me all the time.
The bridesmaid will walk into a classical selection by the band when I meet with them I will let them play me some selections.I am thinking whether or not to let the soloist sing when I walk in as well as when we are signing. He will sing "So much in Love" by All 4 one when we are signing. Our 1st dance will be to "These arms" by All 4one.
Mycen I am having music playing as my guests enter as well. Not classical though. I figured If we don't listen to it in our everyday life, why front for the day. This is just for me nt anyone else) So we are playing Jazz since we are Jazz fans as well as having some Luther and R&B but mainly Love music.

Same here. They are going to play during the cocktail hour as well.We will be taking pictures during this time.I don't always listen to classical but I do appreciate the music. It will set the atmosphere I want;one of romance.
I was originally going to let my bridesmaids and grooms men come down the aisle to "Best Friend" by John P. Kee. I think I will let the grooms men come down to that song. I just bought the sound track to Best Men and I heard the song "Wherever You Go", by Sygnature and I must use it in my wedding, so I'm going to have the bridesmaids come down to that song! The lyrics are soo perfect for he and I. I hope it won't be too much!

LOL, I here you Mycen. Coming up in the hip hop era and then having old,old school parents, it was a transition for me as well. But I have come to really appreciate the music. Hearing the different instruments and learning to distinguish btwn them. And now a lot of performers are more on the Jazz tip like Alicia Keys, John Legend etc. I always wanted to learn to play the piano. Maybe it's never to late.

I have a serious distain for jazz. I think some people claim to like just to appear "cultivated." I hate it and when it has no words I really hate it! When a jazz musician opens for a concert I am thinking "I wish he would take that sax and sit down." I annoys my ears.
I am thinking about having gospel instrumentals playing as guest come in, "Special Gift" by Donnie Mcclurken (Again Album) to the bridal party...."You've Won My Affection" Israel and New Breed (New Season) Cd for me...."New Season" by Isareal and New Breed for the recessional....and First Dance Tony Terry's "When I'm With You"...
