I just stole away from mmy husband for a few minutes to share how excited I am to be celebrating my 1sy anniversary today :)
A year ago, today seemed so far off, and with the added pressure of me losing my job, my MIL's health and a host of other family problems, we stuck together.
Today's sermon was very appropriate...the pastor spoke on the praying power of a God-filled woman and how a man should be so lucky to have a wife grounded in the Lord's will and purpose...amen, amen, amen!!
Be encouraged my sisters, whatever battle you may face, it isn't bigger than your God!
All right, I'm done. I know I don't post as often as I used to so congratulations to all the recent Viwives (Purebliss sticks out in my mind) and all the best to tohse of you who are planning (Rhony and Cinny are up next right?!)

To answer your question Ms. Rosey, we didn't get a honeymoon right away and our attempts to have one for our anniversary were foiled with me losing my job. The wedding itself was so low-key, there were A LOT of things that went wrong and thats why our anniversary meant so much, we've been celebrating monthly anniversaries as encouragement that life, love and marriage happen one day at a time.
As if she knew what I was thinking, here's something a friend sent me today...

Here's some good news..... You don't have to keep up with anyone else. You can run your own race and be an individual. God has given you the grace to do what He's called YOU to do. He has not given you the grace to do what everybody else is doing.

Thank you for your encouragement Housewife and Rhonny! We are holding up well and remain thankful for the blessings we have sustained thus far. I like to think that with wisdom comes strength, knowing that God is in control gives me the strength to endure.
