Ladies, I heard him talking about his book on the radio the other day. He said it's about a married couple going through the highs and lows of marriage. He said the couples he has counseled helped him write this book. The book deals with finances and infidelity and other issues couples face. One thing though, it supposed to give insight from the male perspective of things. I bouught the book last night and stopped reading at chapter 5 only because I was too sleepy. OMG, I went on TD Jakes website and read the first chapter of the book, it had me going. Girl, I had a serious attitude last night because I couldnt finish reading the rest of the book. I want to know what happened to Clarice leg. Did they have to cut it off? Is she in a wheelchair? Do she have a limp? Something.

I could only imagine that it only gets BETTER as you go farther into the book. I love a book that starts off good! I should be finished the book by Sunday.

Not so much. I am really surprised at myself. FH is ok too -- LOL!! A few months ago I think he was having anxiety attacks! Now talk to me next week and we will see where I'm at -- LOL!!!

Yeah Rhony, it won't set in until the day before or day of. For me it was the day of I was sick on my stomach that morning and cried all day long until we finished the toasts at the reception.

Ladies, I ordered this book on yesterday from Black Expressions despite it's not so good reviews. For those of you reading it do you think that it's very slow and unrealistic at times? That seemed to be the common theme on the reviews that I read. I can't wait to get it to see for myself. I also ordered Monique's new cook book.

I have to be honest, I haven't read the book since my last post. I've been very, very busy. But, so far, it doesn't seem slow at all to me, nor does it seem unrealistic. Please don't go by the reviews. You know they don't give "us" our proper respects. Look at what they did to Tyler movie's. They deemed it horrible and some only gave it one star. But, we know that it was one of the best movies.
