You could have them wear black with burnt orange or gold accessories. You could also have them dress similar to your flower girl in ivory but with gold accessories or burnt orange accessories. Beautiful colors Askalot, keep us posted with what you actually decide.

Askalot, my wedding was the same colors as yours. I had my hostesses to wear black dresses so they could match the ushers who were in black tuxedos with the burnt orange vest and tie. I felt that because they weren't BM's that they should be set apart. Whatever you decide I'm sure it wil look good.

How about letting your hostess wear gold.

I agree with this idea. And love the colors you chose by the way!

You know Askalot, I just remembered that you and your future hubby are wearing ivory. In the event that you don't want your hostesses to wear ivory for that reason, perhaps you could let them wear a different shade of orange.

You may even want to put them in brown so that they blend with the warmth of the colors but it's a little softer than black.

Try black or brown. Let us know what you decide. It's gonna be really nice whatever way you decide to go!

I need a little help also. My colors are chocolate, latte, and ivory. My idea is to have my BM come in by height (oh by the way...about the drama I had with them in previous post, I've decided to let my daughter and step-daughter be my MOH!), so they will each have on either CH. or LT.
1. Should I accessorize them with pearl earrings/necklaces? Will that look okay?
2. Since there are only 3 GM to my 4 BM and 2 MOH, should the GM wear the same color vest, or should they mix it up, also?
3. Ivory tuxes or black tuxes? HELP!!! (Seems like I'm always crying on these boards!)

Your wedding colors are dark brown, medium brown, and ivory. What colors are your girls wearing, and what colors are your bridesmaids wearing. My colors are Champagne, latte, ivory, and gold. My groomsmen are wearing ivory tux with latte vest and tie. My bridesmaids are wearing Latte dresses with a champagne sash, and my angel girls and flower girls are wearing Ivory dresses with gold sash.

J, you definately want the guys to wear ivory tux because black does not fit with your color scheme. Now some tux come in chocolate and they look really nice too. I think that ivory pearls will be great for your girls. I purchased 3 piece ivory pearl sets for my Bm's and they looked really nice. pearls are a classic and fit with the occasion, I got them studs because I don't care for the teardrops. Oh, and I ordered all the sets on ebay for very cheap. As for the vest, if your MOh and BM's are all wearing the same color then the guys vests should be the same. However, you could let the 2 MOH wear chocolate and the 2 BM's(if you have 2) wear chocolate while the others in wedding party wear latte.

I was thinking that I would have one MOH wear Latte and the other wear Chocolate, but i think I want the them both in the same color, which is what SDiva suggested. My MOH's are young though(my daughters) ...19 and 16...is chocolate too dark of a color for them?
SDiva, I like the ivory tux also... My dress is a light champagne color, with gold accents... I'm thinking FH should wear all Ivory, or Ivory with a champagne vest? What do you all think?

You thru me off with Sdiva, my nickname is PB&J. At any rate J, an ivory tux would suffice for your FH because traditionally the groom wears one color. As for the chocolate and your daughters that color would be fine, you can find dresses that are not too grown or revealing for them. I wish you well. I can easily help everyone out now that my wedding day has come and gone.

Oops! Sorry PB&J! I'm still getting used to the boards, and looked at the wrong thing (I just noticed i'm an "Awesome Member") !!! But I will appreciate any advice you have. I've helped coordinate and decorate many weddings and receptions, but for some reason I am having the hardest time with my own! Have you posted any pictures yet of your wedding? If so, where can I find them?

I think your fh should wear all ivory, and the groomsmen should wear the ivory suit with the colored vest.

Hi this is my first time using this site. So I hope I posted this right. HELP PLEASE!!! My wedding is in may and it will be outside. I have choosen burnt orange as well and I'm having a hard time picking a third color.The bride and groom will be in all white, the bm burnt orange,fg white and burnt orange and gm black with burnt orange. After choosing the color I'm starting to think it's a fall color. What color can I add that I can have the mob wear and make it look like a summer wedding?

I would say put the MOB in peach to soften up the burnt orange and to bring that springy feel to it. A soft green like a celadon in the decorations could break up all the orange. I would also try to use silver accents instead of gold if possible.

Welcome Kmed, I did respond to your note. I've seen burnt orange/white used in the summer and it was very pretty. You can do so much with that color, I know I did for my wedding. You really don't have to add a peach, green or any other color to lighten it up.I did ivory & burnt orange with a little gold here and there. For the wedding I had a garden theme so I used different color rose petals and my BM's carried multi-colored kissing balls and for the reception I did a fall theme which was fall leaves, candles, etc. Just check out the pics on my photographer's site. An associate of mine also did ivory and burnt orange and her pics are on there too. by all means don't stress. When is your wedding date anyway.

Welcome KMED122! Your colors a very beautiful Burnt orange seems to be very popular. I agree with both ladies (Ajia and PB&J). Burnt orange would be fine for spring/summer. Although you may want to add other colors to the decorations, but it isn't necesarry. What ever you decide it will be beautiful. Please keep us posted.

Honey, go with how you feel. I am getting married in July, and my wedding colors are earthtone colors which usually are used in the fall. I do not plan on using any colors to lighten it up.

I have been looking all over for this msg. Okay I have a color suggestin. Actually it was from a bride with the same colors, but she moved her date back to the fall. The color is baby blue. It looks good together. I think she wnet to david 's bridal on line or she googled d colors together. Anyway they look good together.

Thanks so much sheawill. I have moved on to some other wedding things because I was getting a little tired of the color thing. However I know picking a third color is something I have to do. I will try those colors together. Burnt orange, white and baby blue. I finally a picked a cake. I posted it on the site under cakes I'm not sure if anyone seen it. It's pillows. I wanted something different that had a meaning to it. I showed it to my fh and he loved it. It's a little high in price so I'm trying to see if I can find someone else who can make the same cake for a little less. Tell me what you think. Oh one more question did you see the colors together in a picture? If so where. Thanks again everyone. I just love this website. I have been telling everyone about it.
