Sand Ceremony Any One?

We wanted to do the unity candle at first but since we are having our renewal outside it wouild not make much sense. So we are doing a sand ceremony. When our boys heard us discussing it they said that it was thier wedding as well and they wanted to pour sand too ( lol lol) so now we are going to have one large glass vase and 5 containers with different color sand ( that coodinates with the wedding colors of course) and we will all be pouring our sand. We are going to play "My love is Your Love" by Whitney Houston.

Here are pics of the vases I found. We will get the Large one in the middle and 5 of the one on the right:

Very nice choice! I love the shape of the vases!

My co-worker didn't want to do the candle either so they put kool-aid in the bottom of a punch bowl and they each poured water from a pitcher so as it filled, the water turned red. It turned out really nice.

The last wedding I attended they did the sand ceremony. It was very nice because the bride didnt have any children but her husband had a son. They had her aunt read a poem explaining what the sand ceremony ment and how it was joining the two families togethor. It was very nice and diffrent.
