If you think that two years is a long way off, let me tell you now, you're dead wrong! The time will zoom by before you know it and you'll be so busy with details. I've been planning for a year and a half and I can't believe that in less than three weeks, our wedding is to take place in Florida. The hardest thing for me was the fact that we reside in Huntington Beach, CA., but chose to marry in Florida because of his many family members, and some of my own family. My story is complicated but has lots of humor.

I sometimes wish I would have opted to marry in Las Vegas; it would have been a blast, and a lot cheaper.

A little advice to you; get a wedding planner. It will keep you from having a nervous breakdown, seriously.

I did almost everything myself. I had the most unique ideas (when this is over, I will post most of my projects so that everyone can maybe glean.) I've heard so many disaster stories about unorganized weddings. I think the mixture of cultures has a lot to do with the concept of what is traditional and acceptable with regard to ettiquette and other things that I'm not going to mention.

I'm excited that you're engaged; there's nothing like joining two people who love each other together for eternity. I'm also happy that you're pursuing your education, something that I continue to dream about. Nothing like being in love and being able to still maintain self preservation, I'm sure you know what I mean.

Hey Flawda girl, fellow Floridians are here. Cinny is also from Ft. Lauderdale like I am, but I am living in Tallahassee, at FSU pursuing my Masters too. We originally set our date for 2008, but we decided to go ahead and move it up since we didn't really have a reason to wait!

Hi Flawdagurl! Nice to see another FL rep...Even though your wedding isn't slated for another two years, let me tell you that you're on track. You'd better start planning now, so you don't go nuts in 2008! Love your theme & the colors :-)

Cool, Flawdagurl, what school in Palm Beach did you go to? I went to Dillard in FtL. And by the way, my mom now lives in Boynton Beach as of last year. She lives right off of Congress and Gateway behind the Target Plaza.
