Re: Color help again

Some ideas:

Orange and Fuschia
Orange and Yellow
Orange, Gold and White
Orange, Chocolate and white: Burnt Orange & Chocolate

Orange and Fuschia

Orange, Mango, and yellow

Also, you may want to ask your FH what his favorite color(s) are and then try and find a creative way to incorporate it into the wedding, whether it be in the flowers, loose petals that either the flower girl drops or that ypu have put or spread around on the table settings or on the floor, the centerpieces, your bouquets, etc. That way, you can both enjoy seeing your favorite colors together as part of your day together. Even though you have the wardrobe pretty much ironed out, I think those other details used subtly can help add flavor.
You can also add different shades of burnt orange/orange, such as mango, orange-yellow, mixed in the wedding. But definitely ask FH his colors that he likes/dislikes, and go from there to help narrow your choices. My FH's input really helped keep me from going in circles!

I am thinking about having tropical flowers in my bouquet since my colors are a little dull.

Thanks, I will check those colors out. The burnt orange and chocolate look good together but not in for a May outside wedding. It looks too dark to me for that time of year. I kind of wish I could change my colors but I can't.

You can always brighten up the chocolate and burnt orange with yellow or the addition of lighter shades in the orange/yellow family. Also, adding chocolate and maybe a latte color or chocolate and champagne can brighten up the burnt orange/white color scheme. You already have your BM wardrobe down so remember that brightening up those details like the flowers, petals, centerpeices, etc can brighten things up!

I 'm new

I am new to the board, but my colors are oasis and pool. these colors are in the tourquise family. My flowers are coral roses. I am trying to coordinated my wedding, but need a little help. I would like for it to be elegant. My Bm's are of small frame and there dressses are the mermaid shape. the problem is my maid and matron are some sistas big bones, what kind of dress would accent their shape or am I wrong to let them wear the same dress as the Bm's? I am open to any kind of suggestions.

My wedding is in the fall and my colors are Burnt Orange, Chocolate and Gold. I think those colors are beautiful. Since it is a Spring wedding I would pair it with a Coral or Peach.

What a very nice color choice. I know pool is a lighter teal (I call it tiffany blue-cause its my color) and oasis is a dark teal/turquoise. The coral color adds flavor. I assume that you are adding a white or off-white?

But as far as your question, you want them to be elegant and comfortable so you may have to let them try on a few that come only in your chosen colors until they find the dress that compliments their frame the best. I did this with my maid and matron of honor (we ordered from David's Bridal) and they are so happy for their dress choice. Their only stipulation was to stick to the color I chose. I was flexible with the length since its a spring wedding. For example, my maid of honor is my 20-year old sister with a thick hourglass shape. Well since she is so young, my coordinator was able to convince her to try a strapless tea length-her very last choice which she hated on the mannequin. She tried it on and fell in love with it-AND it really complmented her frame-despite her size. So you will have to let them do trial and error-but with reasonable stipulations so they can pick and be done with it.

My matron of honor (26 years old) has very big hips, so I let her pick the dress she liked, since she is very conservative, and I think her husband would like her to be a little more covered up in the arm area, and not too tight in the butt/hip area, so she found something very nice too. Its about trial and error with us thicker girls!
