Hello there ladies!!! It is soooo good to be back. I have so much to share and don't know where to begin, so here goes:
On Saturday, November 11, 2006 everyone received wakeup calls at 7:00am. We showered and had breakfast. The groomsmen went to a nearby restaurant and the ladies enjoyed room service. We talked cried and prayed it was wonderful! It was such a beautiful day, God smiled on us, the weather was perfect!!!
Ieasha showed up at the groomsmens room to take their pictures. Once done with them she came to our room, we had so much fun!!! The woman that was supposed to do my makeup, called at the last minute to say that she wouldn't be able to make it -- not to worry, I prayed and did it myself!!! I had to do my daughter's makeup, and I didn't want her to look to grown, but we worked it out! Everything just flowed so smoothly.
My fiance called to tell me that they were leaving for the church and that my limousine was waiting downstairs. He told me he loved me so much. Oh my goodness that is when it hit me, I was getting married shortly. I pulled myself together, left the room with my ladies and went to check out of the hotel. The front desk guy overcharged me by putting two extra rooms on my tab and he didn't want to take them off. I asked for the manager, meanwhile getting upset because I was going to be late. I explained everything to the manager and told him that it was my wedding day and he straightened everything out. But now I'm running behind schedule.
I arrived at the church and the bridal party began to line up and head down the aisle. My brothers came outside to get me out of the limousine and I started to cry! Oh my goodness I am crying and I can't stop! I tried so hard to pull it together by the time I got to the church door. It was such an awesome feeling seeing everyone looking at me -- the love in that sanctuary was beyond anything that I have ever felt before. My brother asked if I was ready to begin and I slowly began down the aisle. I focused on my husband because it just felt right! He looked sooooo happy and pleased! I will never forget the look on his face. Now I have to let yall in on a little secret. I didn't have my glasses or contacts in -- I couldn't see! I was holding on to my brother so tight, I thought I dug a hole in his arm -- LOL!!!!!
We had an awesome minister with a wonderful sense of humor. I wouldn't have changed a thing about the ceremony, it was wonderful. It was so wonderful to finally meet all of my Vibride sisters -- I thank each and everyone of you for your support! We also had an awesome wedding coordinator -- our wedding was her first. The church's normal wedding coordinator had another committment. I am just grateful for everything. There were a few incidentals, but to tell you the truth it didn't matter!
The reception was wonderful. The food was delicious! We had a buffet-style menu that consisted of chicken in garlic sauce, baked ziti, fried flounder, fried chicken and meat balls. We also had spanish rice, tossed salad, mixed vegatables and potatos. We had unlimited soft drinks and the place was decorated so nicely. It just looked amazing. We had RSVPs for 110 people and only 100 showed up, but it worked out because there was so much food that our guests were given containers to take food home. I was so grateful.
Once again I thank God for blessing my family the way He did it was awesome! I'd also like to give a special thanks to Ieasha who is sooo professional and worked above and beyond the call of duty! Isaac and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Rhony, first of all I want you to know that you and Issac are truly blessed by God to have each other. I know that HE is not through blessing you and your family yet.
I would like to say thank you very much for allowing us (your vibride sisters) to come and witness your beautiful ceremony. You could have very easily said, I don't know you from Eve, don't come. But you opened your arms and said come by if you can. Your family was very welcoming and they were equally excited for you two. It was an honor to be there and share that special moment with you.

Thank you. Nobody knew that my knees were shaking underneath that gown! It just flowed because my husband and I went through so much and to finally make it to that point, I wanted to show the world that I was ready and that I love that man!!!

Girl you have said a mouthful!!!! I am sooooo happy Mrs PB&J!!! My husband laughs at me because he says that I sleep so hard lately -- this man doesn't know that I am in relax mode, now that it is all said and done! It feels good to be able to get a good nights sleep. The last two weeks before my wedding I didn't sleep well at all, but now sistah gets her sleep on!!! LOL!!!!

You're experience sounds so positive. I'm happy that everything seemed to work out for you on your special day. You sound as if you just let everything flow. I am happy for you. As for the reality of tying the knot; ladies, I feel it and I'm sceptical and in love at the same time. I bring up scepticism because there is the good and the bad with any relationship. I guess if you've got someone who loves you, doesn't hit you and is willing to work his ass off for his family, that's a pretty good thing. On the other hand, there are things within the confines of a relationship and marriage that you cannot survive without; this, is a much harder pill to swallow, and makes you wonder about the "what if" factor. In this life, you can only hope for two out of three and nothing more. If you internalize the perspective of two out of three, I guess you have to pray that all things work itself out with the help of a higher power. It is frustrating at times when you seem to have this pie in front of you, but half the the time, the pieces aren't for the taking/enjoyment. Enough about my issues.

Just to add a little humor, the pie is sleeping next to me as I type, snoring away without a care in the world. I, on the other hand, am taking my frustrations out on Vibride.com, ha!

belleblanc you are so funny, I just described something like that in KMED's post entitled "prblems". You are just so right, and the funny thing is, when we have problems that we work out over and over again in our head, they just are so oblivious, and fall right asleep, "snoring" thier cares away. We don't live together yet (3 more months) but I know that this man snores...I mean he wakes the dead, and some of my biggest issues is knowing that if we have problems, and I can't sleep, I;m gonna have to hear that man snoring next to me, with no care in the world, but hey, such is life. I think we women who work it out are truly truly blessed, cause we ain't perfect either!

No Housewife I didn't! I was at the salon for 8 hours (which is in Brooklyn, NY)! Can you imagine! I had to go home, pick up my daughter in Jersey City and then head to Newark. I was exhausted. I slept like a baby!!!!
