Thanks, I just wanted to share that. When there are SO many details to figure out, work through and pay off, being one step closer, even if it's a little baby step just feels good, NOW, time to move on to the next thing!
Best wishes!

SEPTBRIDE...when's your wedding date?...I didn't see a tickler...
Okay so I had already sent the above message before I realized...SEPTBRIDE...OBVIOUSLY it's in Sept.....DUH!!....lol
but what is your actual date?...
Thanks Cinamin1, are you crazy excited about yours coming up this weekend....do you have everything in place?...
I don't know what happened to that darn ticker, but my date is Sept 15

It still hasn't really hit me yet...I'm just taking it all in. Every emotion, feeling, and relaxing. I am super excited, though. Everything's in place. I've confirmed with the vendors, paid all of them in full. The centerpieces & decor have been purchased (hopefully I won't have to spend anymore money on that part). Friday morning, I'm going to the spa for my mani/pedi & deep-tissue massage. After that, we're going over to the hall to decorate and rehearse.

Sounds like everything's in place Cinny!

WOW...cannot wait until I'm at that point! I know you will have a WONDERFULLY blessed wedding!.....
Yes she will! One thing I learned is that no matter how much you plan and stress over the wedding planning. It will be beautiful no matter what! If and only if something doesn't goes as planned, it won't matter at all.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
That's right, because as MUCH as we want that perfect dress, the perfect decorations, the perfect favors and menus, it's utimately NOT about that at all. It's about that perfect person you found FOR YOU, and your lives together FOLLOWING the wedding. So no matter what we feel may or maynot go "wrong", that day should forever be special because that is the day you and the man God has for you will unite!
Preach Soontobe!!!!!!!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Now with all of that being said...LAWD I'M STRESSED OUT WITH THIS FRICKIN' PLANNING!!!....lol....kidding.....it's actually not that bad yet...and I'm going to try my best not to let it go there! Pray for a sista....
I am so sick of paying paying paying!!! I have to go to the reception hall on sunday to drop off another payment.

Housewife....I know exactly what you mean. I no longer can tolerate the word "deposit". In these last couple of months since the proposal I have put so many "deposits" down it's ridicolous! I'm now starting the hate the words "second payment" also. It's amazing how expensive it is. I mean you know a wedding is not cheap, and you know you are going to have to shell out some cash to pay for things to get whatever vision you have for you wedding done, but when you actually start writing everything down and adding things up, it's like DAG MAN!
Soontobe you are too funny!!!! Seriously ladies, just hang in there, it will all work out in the end. I wish you guys the best.

Soon, I know what you mean. I told FH something else we now had to pay for, he said "Damn, every week its something new that got added". lol I told him, get used to it, because I'll probably be adding things up until a week before. lol
Septbride, isn't that amazing how it does seem like everyweek your adding something on? One day I just had to stop myself from talking to my FH about paying for this or that, or meeting with this person, scheduling this, decorations, limos, invitees, all that. I'm like I'm almost sick of hearing myself talk about it, so let me give him a break for at least a couple days.....sheesh...
Y'all are too funny!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Soon, I break like every two weeks. I see why some brides don't even include FH on everything. I've done that. Just go out and buy what I need. I know by the time the wedding comes, FH is going to wonder how did I pull it all off without him knowing about it. THen, when I don't tell him about things for weeks on in, he starts asking me question. I think he's confused himself. lol
That's funny, I'm trying my best to include my FH, and I guess he's trying his best to help, but he's just too slow. I love him to death but he's one of those procrasinators, so I just have to take care most of the things, and when he feels like helping or when he wants to put his 2 cents in, I let him (but we always end up going with what I want)...I just want to make him believe he has SOME control over this...lol....
In the early planning stages, my FH was not interested at all. I would leave him a folder with ideas I wanted his input on and he would get back to me weeks later. I just stopped talking to him about it and did what I had to do. Towards the end he was like "It's my day too!, I should have some say on things." Can you imagine, the wedding was already planned by then! -- LOL!!!

Girl you hit it right on the head..."slow". When I ask him to decide, its always...we'll see, but when I show him how behind we are on this timeline my coordinator email me...again, he's gonna need to start making some concrete decisions and getting some things done!
But anyhoo, congrats on that important milestone....doesn't it feel great to say, "My dress is paid!"
We've been Happily Married 2 Years and Counting:)

I'm very happy for you, as everything involving a wedding is expensive. I haven't been on the sight for close to a week and miss everyone. Well, it's count down time for me and I am officially nervous; evern as I write this, my heart seems to be jumping a bit with anxiety. I am really going to try to focus on making this event enjoyable. During my week in Florida, I'm going to be so busy with everything and won't have time to view the blogs. Once I return from Jamaica, I will do my best to post pics with the help of Septbride (she's such a doll).
We have three vendors to pay off; the two videographers and the florists. We sent the last and final payment for the wedding ceremony and reception, and found out that we hadn't yet paid for rehearsal dinner. Well, it was hell to write that check but, I did it. We have the Coconut Grove room for 4 hours so, we will try to have a bit of fun, as I was just concentrating on the rehearsal.
Ladies, I wish you all the best on your special day. I fly out Tuesday and won't return until the 21st.
I will give all of the details when I return.
I'll miss all of you.
BelleBlanc
Ladies, hang in there! Especially with your FH's. I think that it is very common for them to not be too involved until close to the wedding when evry decision has been made. My husband had agreed that we would do things a certain way and forgot and wanted to change things. I was too upset! We had to change some things at the last minute and my Coordinator was a little taken aback. But hey sometimes you have to compromise as well as make them think they have some say in how the wedding goes down.
