A few weeks ago I was watching one of the wedding shows and the bride hired her FH's favorite singer to come in a sing his favorite song and she walked in to it. Her FH did not know about the surprise.
My question is, have/will any of you surprise your FH with the song you walk in to?

When I got married, my daughter sang "I believe in You and Me" by Whitney Houston as a surprise for him. I didn't walk in to it though, she sang it as a solo. He was blown away.

He probably cried even more about that, huh? :-)
My FH will not be surprised. But, I do plan on sending him a note before I come out. (I stole the idea from someone here on ViBride)
My husband was surprised when i came in on The One He Kept For Me. I wouldn't tell him the song i came in on. It truly described the way I felt and spoke volumes to him.

I think this is a nice touch, you are telling him how you feel and he doesn't know what to expect so he is really surprised and touched.
That's a good questions. My FH would have been surprised by the song I will walk in on but I could keep a secret. Shame on me. He was very happy when I talked him the song and how I want to do because there is an intro to the song and I want the bible carrier to come down on that. I'm a little stuck on that part because I know the FG is suppose to be last before I come out. So I'm not sure how I want to do it. Any suggestions??? I still however am looking for some ideas to surprise him at the wedding ceremony or reception. Just a gift would not surprise him.
What if the bible carrier and the flower girl walked together? Do you have a ring bearer? If so you could have the bible carrier walk a couple of paces in front of them.
KMED, I'm curious, what song are you coming in on?

Does anyone know the song that princess fiona walked down the aisle to with shrek?
Very nice darling
Dont know the song from Shrek, but I went down the aisle to Whitney Houstons "I love the Lord", its on the Preachers wife sound trac
I married my Best Friend on purpose.....
Love self 1st and all else will follow.
I've changed my mind a few times on this too, but now that the programs are made, and the DJ has my requests there is no turning back now!
The bridal party is walking in to an instramental version of Sade's 'Cherish The Day'
I'm walking down the isle to, Sade's 'By Your Side'
and the recessional will be R.Kelly's 'Happy People'-starting right at the chorus part.
MsBoston-that will be very nice! are yall going to dance out on Happy People??? :)
You know it! I'm gonna dance right out the ceremony site and up the isle to Happy People. Might even be introduced to it too! It's just so festive!
Happy People, I LOVE that song!!! Using that as a recessional sounds like fun. My DJ used that at reception to let people know it was time for dancing. The floor was packed instantly.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
that is going to be so cute! :) hmmmm..giving me some ideas!! LOL

Ginuoe,
Kenny Lattimore & Chante Moore have a beautiful version of that song on the "Things That Lover's Do" CD. I fell in love with Clint & Lisa's version years ago and always wondered if there would ever be a remake by a black artist.
"To Flow As One Is Love's Reward"
Traycee - isn't it one of the sweetest songs you've ever heard. I couldn't imaginge walking to meet my beloved to any other song.
Do you know where I can get the lyrics please?
When I Said I Do lyrics
These times are troubled and these times are good
And they're always gonna be, they rise and they fall
We take 'em all the way that we should
Together you and me forsaking them all
Deep in the night and by the light of day
It always looks the same, true love always does
And here by your side, or a million miles away
Nothin's ever gonna change the way that I feel,
The way it is, is the way that it was
When I said I do, I meant that I will 'til the end of all time
Be faithful and true, devoted to you
That's what I had in mind when I said I do
Well this old world keeps changin', and the world stays the same
For all who came before, and it goes hand and hand
Only you and I can undo all that we became
That makes us so much more, than a woman and a man
And after everything that comes and goes around
Has only passed us by, here alone in our dreams
I know there's a lonely heart in every lost and found
But forever you and I will be the ones
Who found out what forever means
When I said I do, I meant that I will 'til the end of all time
Be faithful and true, devoted to you
That's what I had in mind when I said I do
Truer than true, you know that I'll always be there for you
That's what I had in mind, that's what I had in mind,
When I said I do
Wonderful! Thanx septbride. You are all right about the song, it certainly is a touching song isnt it.
I wonder if it seems more for the exit music though...with it saying....when I 'said' i do. Is it the same song "when I say I do" and "when I said I do"?
"And here by your side, or a million miles away
Nothin's ever gonna change the way that I feel,
The way it is, is the way that it was"
So very touching. Since the very first time I heard the song, oh so many years ago, I always picture myself walking in the church to this song.
Actually, my FH and I will be dancing our first dance to "That's how strong my love is" by Otis Redding. The first time he told me he loved me was after dating for 3 months and having a romantic dinner at his house and then he asked me to dance. Stupid as I was, I told him that the stereo was not on and even before the words were out of my mouth, the music came on and he held out his hands. Somewhere in the middle of the song, he kissed me and told me he loved me for the very first time.
I like the lyrics to the song.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Yeah future, I hit gold with this man. He is so very romatique. Would you believe that I get a card every month? We've been together now for 1 1/2 years and never a month goes by that I don't get a romantic card with a special note inside.
Ladies, God only gives the very best!!!
How did the one he kept for me go over? I was considering this song but changed my mind...I may reconsider it now...Does anyone have any sheet music for it???
I don't think I ever heard of that one qstyle. Sorry!!!
