Thanks Belle but why do you have to be "really thin" to wear these dresses? Is there something i'm missing about the design. I'd hate to make a choice i'll regret . . .
I think the only thing you 'have to be' is comfortable with your body type, and know what looks good on you and what you are comfortable in. A$$ and all...LOL.
Gorgeous dresses! I like number 3 also. I'm partial to the mermaid cut dresses. My dress is mermaid cut with the sweetheart neckline like 3#, it just has no straps. But you can't loose with either one of those choices!
[quote="SeptBride"]Yes, you ladies should definately check out the site. They have a lot of BEAUTIFUL dresses! Maggie definately has my vote! :-)

Those dresses are beautiful!I like #2.I don't think you have to be really thin, though.I'm tall and slim but I wouldn't mind adding a few curves so I could wear those dresses.Lol.
I know that's right, Plat. These dresses are hot! Gotta love Maggies (her dresses are too pretty to wear only once). I'm trying to think of a reason to wear mine again.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Demetrious, think i spelled the name incorrectly, however that designer has beautiful dresses as well. He has one that is in the champagne, goldish family, mermaid style dress. And trust me it is sharp. My mother insisted I purchase that dress. I asked her if she was joking.

My apologies for not responding sooner. I am just getting acclimated to navigating this sight.
I made that comment because lots of times brides tend to choose things that are so flattering and beautiful on a model, but might not necessarily be flattering to the figure for that person. It all depends on the person. For example, when I was in Florida, I was so hesitant to purchase a dress because of my weight. However, there was an attendant who chose several styles (all appropriate) for my figure type. When I tried them on, they all flattered my full figured body, I was shocked! There was another girl who was there at the time I was in the shop trying on a dress that if she didn't have the common sense to know that she shouldn't wear something like that, someone should run up and advise her. She was a big girl, her breast were very saggy and big at the top, lumpy at the bottom. She looked horrible and I so wished that I could say something but, I didn't. The dress had a plunging neck line along with the entire back out. If you've got rows of fat on your back, you shouldn't wear a dress exposing so much. I think that there are so many designs to choose from and, it helps to choose something that is flattering to the figure and the body in maybe the style that attracts both you and others. I so didn't want to wear a strapless gown because I felt funny about my arms being out. Well, when I put the entire combo together, everyone in the bridal shop was in awe of how I looked and I felt great about my decision on that gown. I'm not advocating being stick thin, I'm just saying that some styles compliment certain figures. I hope I didn't offend you.
Belle i was a little put off, especially since you've never seen me but i understand that you were trying to be helpful and appreciate the sentiment. I've seen girls do the same thing you're describing in stores so trust me, I can WORK that dress! Holla!
It's like little Olivia said to Dr. Huxtable on the Cosby Show . . . I know my body! I know my body!(Am I the only one who remembers that?)
I CAN UNDERSTAND THIS I FOR ONE HAVE VERY LARGE BREAST AND WHEN I WAS TRYING ON DRESSES SOME OF THEM WERE NICE BUT JUST DID NOT WORK WITH MY TOP HALF AND IT WAS A MATTER OF MY OWN OPINION OF WHAT I WAS COMFORTABLE WITH BUT I LIKE TO HAVE SECOND OPINIONS FROM SOMEONE I TRUST. I WAS IN A WEDDING BEFORE WERE THE DRESS WAS LOW CUT IN THE FRONT AND THE DAY OF THE WEDDING IN THE CHURCH I WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE I WAS HANING OUT AND I KNOW I HAD ALL THE ATTENTION OF ALL THE BROTHERS IN THE CHURCH OLD AND YOUNG (HA HA). WITH MY BRIDESMAIDS I HAVE ALLOWED THEM TO CHOSE THEIR OWN DRESSES IN THE SAME COLORS.
Musik- How 'bout that's my motto!!! "I know my body"!!!
I've seen EVERY last episode. Not Kidding. Sad but totally true. :) LOL!
Belle- I feel you girl...I wish sometimes I didn't have to see certain things. That's why honest girlfriends are VERY VERY important. And every-angle mirrors NEVER lie!
I mean really...If my Titty (can I say that????) is folded over and I think it looks like clevelege...tell a sister...PLEASE!!
I may be late to the party but i've been waiting for the new Maggie Sottero line to drool over and I finally saw them. I already have favorites.

Glad you like! I'm leaning toward #3 becuase it will compliment my hourglass (my cousin always says "hour-a$$") figure. Plus, look at the back:
Dresses are beautiful. Gotta be really thin to wear the designs. The detail is beautiful. I'm sure you'll look fabulous!
