Hey Big Sis! Do you & FH have a favorite color you'd like to incorporate? I love the ivory & gold combination...Technically, they can stand on their own. Have you seen gold (dark yellow) BM dresses?
When are you getting married?
Our date was set for September 23,2006 but due to financial issues,I got discouraged and postponed it.We're still deciding on a new date, sometime in Spring 2008.I'm trying to avoid June through October because the wedding will be in Florida.
Belleblanc, teal sounds nice.I'll ask FH how he feels about that.Jayda,FH suggested black, too. But I'm not sure about it.Cin,I like those dresses, especially #2 and #3.Where can I find those?
Thanks for your suggestions,Ladies.Keep those ideas coming.
I know...I'm late again. However I must be on a similar vibe w/HW147 my colors are ivory, champange, and latte!
Great minds think alike!
My coordinator clued me in on the fact that this time of year shopping for these colors should be a breeze. Got the BEST candles for the head table today on clearance from the Pottery Barn in champagne w/latte beeding on the sides of them! LOVE them! soooo thrilled!
WINTER
With all the end-of-the-year festivities, several color combos come to mind.
ALL WHITE - For those of us who are graced with white snow for a period of time throughout the year, the color white is an easy choice. Forget about only the bride wearing white! The groom, bridal party and parents are all encouraged to deck out in this purest of colors.
BLACK AND WHITE - Ebony and ivory, like the bridal couple, make a complementary duet. The color combo exudes the most formal of looks. The palette goes well with a New Year's Eve celebration.
BLUE AND WHITE - A beautiful combo to celebrate alongside the Hanukah season. And blue and white makes a great alternative pairing for a Christmas wedding other than the traditional coupling of green and red.
SILVER / GREY AND WHITE - A good middle ground for those who don't like the formal look of black or the crispness of an all white wedding.
SPRING
This season provides a symphony of colors found in your own backyard and lends a plethora of natural color combinations.
CELADON and PINK - Pink peonies coupled with the ever-popular celadon, a soft and serene green hue, make a natural combination. For a more stark contrast, pair celadon with a bright pink color such as Fushcia.
ROBIN'S EGG BLUE and PINK - Popularized by Martha Stewart (the big "M" herself), Robin's Egg Blue is a soft and beautiful shade of blue. Pair with light pink for a warm look or bright saturated pink for a striking effect.
LILAC and CHOCOLATE BROWN - This natural combo is a simple pairing inspired by the flower itself and its wooden branches. The color purple, in all its shades and tints in between, are making its presence known in many of today's bridal events.
SUMMER
The bright and vibrant colors of this sultry season yield beautiful and unique color pairings.
MANGO ORANGE and MINT GREEN - This color duet is both bright and dramatic and is receiving a warm reception in the wedding world. Add chocolate brown as an accent to finish off the look.
BURNT ORANGE and CRANBERRY RED - This fiery pairing makes a dramatic look for a summer-themed bridal event.
ROYAL BLUE and SUN YELLOW - This color combo conjures up images of sailboats on the open sea. Therefore, this duet of colors makes the ideal choice for a nautical theme wedding.
FALL
Look to the trees for inspiring color combinations for this season's weddings.
CHOCOLATE BROWN and TAUPE - Design your fall wedding around this perfect pairing of minimalist colors. The duet exudes cool, warm and clean feelings.
BURNT ORANGE and CHOCOLATE BROWN - This pair is reminiscent of the 1970's but is making a strong comeback in wedding d
Thank you for your help,Bumblebee.I'll talk to FH about it.(Knowing him,he'll just say "Whatever you decide").I like the all-Ivory idea and then I just may go with Ivory and Gold.
I was watching some show on tv the other night and the said that Jay-z has his own color patented now. It is Jayz blue! lol She what money can do.

Its true....Yes its sad but true. Shoot, come to think of it, I may make one of my own....Make me a little change too. It doesn't take much (300.00) to Patent something, as long as its original. Its a long process, but anyone can do it.
Rhony, I went to a bridal salon on Saturday and I think made matters worse. I couldn't decide whether I should use black, aquamarine,or peach. Then I couldn't figure out which color the bridesmaids are wearing.AUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!I may need to set up a poll so you ladies can help me make a decision.
well since we are having that hot July wedding in Florida the colors are chocolate silk, damn hard to find too, pastel pinks and cream to compliment. moh is wearing an alfredo chocolate dress and i found the cutest pink ddresses for little girls in burlington, whoa.

Depends on the month you're getting married in. Ivory and Gold is a good combination. What about a light Teal?
