Hey ladies. As most of you know I am a newly wed. I want this Valentine's Day to be special for me and hubby because it is our first one as husband and wife. What are you ladies doing for your future hubby/hubby?

Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
We are going to our first 'couple' spa session, together. We will be in our own suite, where we'll start off with 50 min. massages, have lunch (with plenty of Godiva for dessert), relax in the sauna, and get a mani/pedi. This is a big deal for me because, I always go alone or with the girls. He's never been, and I love the massages & pedicures, so i'm sure he will too.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.
Delight yourself also in the Lord & He shall give you all the desires of your heart.-Psalm 37:4
Valentine's Day is the day after my birthday so my man always suprises me with something wonderful every year. I can't wait to see what it will be!

That sounds like a really great idea. Do they have a valitines special?
I hadn't really though about V-day yet. To be honest FH is usually the gift giver on feb14th. Can't wait to hear what some of you ladies come up with, I would really like to do something for him. I will certainly have to borrow a good one.
[quote="housewife147"]I have no idea. I want to go see a comedy show at carolines, but who knows.

Same here, I have absolutely no idea. Our wedding is in two months & we're on a strict budget. Our motto has been "keep it simple", so I guess that will also apply to our V-day spending

Yes, they do have a V-Day special...normally they'd charge more for the private in-suite services. My hubby usually is the gift-giver as well, but this is our first V-day as a married couple. So this is technically for both of us.

I suggested to FH that this year, DO NOT BUY ME ANYTHING! And I also told him not to expect anything from me. Our wedding is this year and we don't need to spend extra money. Besides, we both know how we feel about each other and we share our love, affection, gifts throughout the year. Knowing FH he's going to get me something anyway, but brother better not expect anything. lol
We usually go out to dinner (no kids) and a drive afterwards. He gave me flowers and chcolates last year. One year I bought him flowers...he was very touched by this.Haven't actually thought about it yet.We are still basking in the aftermath of the wedding.

WHAAT??? I obsess about Valentine's Day! lol I have been married 13 years and I still get all excited about what we are going to do! Last year we had a bed & breakfast weekend. I think we will have dinner at home this year. I love cooking and I will break out special lingerie I have bought for that night. I have no idea where my daughter Ford will be when all this happens, but she sure as HELL won't be there! lol

Ooooh...now THAT'S what i'm talking about. except he can do the cooking...that'll be a sweet surprise...and I'll get to do some shopping. Now if only I can find a place to stash the little ones...
BTW- I just love your daughters name. Ford... how unique.
This year we are going to just give each other really simple gifts, we usually go out and give each other really nice gifts and have some serious couple time, but I told him that since we are renewing our vows in June that there is no way we can top that! It just does not get anymore romantic than that for me.

Too funny Rosie, but I hear ya!!! Ladies with all of the wedding planning and money that has to be spent; you don't have to celebrate Valentine's Day by spending money. Sometimes some simple alone and quiet time with your future hubby or hubby is all it takes!

Girl I get so much FLACK over that! lol But I really LOVE it. She is the only one at her school with that name. So everyone knows who she is... if only by gossip, and it helps her stand out.
My babes told me this morning that he is going to cook for me on Valentine Day. I was like well ALRIGHT NA!! He's a great cook so it should be wonderful! I enjoy doing things like that...just me and him hanging out.....
As busy as I am I almost forgot. And every year I say do something simple he goes all out. So I will beg him again to lay off and maybe cause the wedding is coming he will. I will probably cook him a nice meal. I will definitely make his cake for him cause I didn't get a chance to bake much at all lately, and I LOVE to bake.
I really just want to chill. Maybe next year we'll do something like breakfast in bed or arrange spa days together. Which will be nice.

I really love your idea, too Cinny! Consider His & hers robes! Or getting edible massage oil for later!
