V-Brides' Careers

Well I work in oncology ( cancer and blood disorder unit) working with the fellowship program. I am currently in school aiming to obtain a degree in forensic science.

Well I currently work in the pharmacy at kaiser and will be in school again to finish up to be a pharmacist.

I am currently a Licensed Practical Nurse. Just started another nursing program working towards my RN. 07_Bride I originally wanted to work in ultrasound, but was lead a different way.

Right now, I'm a Marketing Assistance with the world's largest exporter. I'm also becoming a notary to work with banks/buyers of homes on the closing (extra money). I say right now because after my wedding, I want to start my own event planning business. Also, after the wedding, FH is starting his (our) own towing business.

Lot of nurses up in here! I too am in nursing school, I will have my BSN in May. (Yeah me!) I will be going back on the ol' school grind for my MSN/CNM (certified nurse midwife) soon enough.
Love school...not so sure about working.

I'm a Support Engineer presently working for a fortune 50 software company. I'm in school pursuing my Bachelors in Criminal Justice.

I'm in grad school getting my MS in Clinical Nutrition & Nutrition Ed (Double maj). I hope to become a registered dietician (RD).

I actually work part-time for the Girl Scout Council as their Mentoring Program Facilitator. And my other part time job is to teach a general nutrition class at my school (Florida State University-Go Noles!) to over 100 undergrads. I also sell Mary Kay.

I do Advertising, Marketing and PR for a black owned firm. I'm currently on the account for the leading fast food chain. (i'm lovin' it!)

I love my job because we pray every morning before we do anything and every evening before we go home. It truly is a blessing!

My FH and I are over-the road truck drivers. We travel in almost all of the continental United States.( I no longer go into Canada. Crossing the border is too hectic since 9/11). Right now, we're working for a company but we plan to start our own trucking firm within the next two years.

I'm a Marriage & Family Therapist working on contract with the county to provide transitional therapy services to kids 0-18 entering foster care.

Girl, thats one of the reasons I love Selling Mary Kay and working for The Girl Scout Council. Not too many businesses start the business meetings and all other functions in prayer like those organizations/companies. Its good to hear of other businesses doing this too. We need prayer in the workplace and all other places where money is involved...wouldn't you agree?

Definitely! I'm not saying that my job is 100% stress free but cause no job is, but it makes the day go much easier knowing that you can regroup and focus on why we have a job in the first place. I know that I prayed for my job and I am very thankful to have it. I will keep thanking Him as long as I can.

Amen! Highway travel can be very dangerous sometimes. Not only do FH and I pray for our safety, we pray for others on the highway as well.

Hey ladies Im a respiratory therapist I Love my job because I am helping others.

I am a probation officer for the state. I work in the Family Division, where most of my cases are divorce and domestic violence.

Hi ladies, I'm a PCT (patient care tech) at a urology office. My plans are to go to bible college after the wedding.

Double duty:
I'm an event planner/bridal boutique owner-Phenomenal Affairs and
A block operator-I control the safe movement of train tracks.

A newbie here I am a homewife for the now since the shipping company I worked for was purchased by the Germans and they moved it. Planning on making steps toward forensic nursing or forensic psychology havent decided which yet. am working full time on this 07/07 wedding. it is a job alone.

I am a Judiciary Clerk for for the state I work w/Onyswan. I assist in child support and divorce hearings and I also work where they do dna test

She is very good! She got her gown and is just plugging away. Mostly she is laughing at me and my fsil drama. I'm about to kill her (fsil) SHe is upset since she is his only sibling but not in our wedding. She did everything she could to sabotage the relationship since he has been her husband all their lives, but that is a story for another post.

I am a soldier. I am in the army. I am currently going to University of Phoenix to get a degree in Business management. I think I am about to change all together and get a degree in Strategical Leadership.

This is so neat to see all you ladies doing the Darn Thang. I started out in nursing but being in the military and constantly(spelling)moving that was hard to try and pursue who knows in ten years I may pick it back up. I love watching babies being born.

Today I booked my wedding coordinator "Allison" she is great and her assistant happens to be my FH's cousin..small world, glad I don't day anything ugly about my MIL. The only thing I need to focus on is the flowers. TAJMOM has tried to convience me to use silk one's but I have a thing for real roses. Does any of our NJ brides know of a good florist in the Essex/Union Co area?

Girl, Rita would not mind you giving out the addy. I booked my photography/videography/limo through them. Very nice company to work with.

I currently work as a Trust Officer at Wachovia Bank, dealing with the transfer of common stocks, mutual funds and other assets in our trust customer's accounts. BUT after the wedding I plan on getting certified as a personal trainer, and if it is God's will move forward from there to make that my full time job...

I work for a Pharmaceuticals company in the Human Resources Dept. I can't say I love my job - but it pays the bills. Soon, I'll be going back to my true and first passion...Hair. I will soon be opening my own salon in Union, NJ. Pls keep me in your prayers regarding this new business venture.

house, they are average. But, she does excellent work!!! You should stop by or give her a call. I originally was going to use Lamar, but they didn't offer as many flowers as I needed in any package. THen, my mom reminded me of Fresh & Pretty and I called her and was VERY PLEASED with her. What type of flowers do you want? I say call her and set up an appt.

Thanks so much for the support ladies... But, I haven't done hair full time for about ten years...so I would not want to jack you all up for your special day!! When the shop opens...I will be doing hair p/t until I get my skills back up. But I have some stylists who already do hair full time and working in a salon - so they will be my bread and butter while I'm crafting my skill again. But, sheesh!! - I need you ladies in my life forreal - cuz you all are some supportin' sistahs. That's what I'm talking about!! : )

It's funny when I was scrolling through this post and saw LAMAR Wedding center it caught my eye....Lamar is my FH's name.....I know I know.....that is SO off topic.....but I got excited when I saw my babe's name.....lol...
