My sister how is my MOH called me last night and told me that she doesn't want to pay for the dress I picked out for the my girls. That was after she told that all the girls felt the original dress was to traditional for our ceremony and they wanted something they could wear agian. She called me two hours later to tell me that she taught we should go with silke flowers bcuz real flowers are too expensive, and since we are getting married in Jamiaca there is a strong possibilty that the flowers will die before my 430 ceremony. I lost it. I told her not only would she wear the dress that I picked out but she would alos pay for her own flowers and shoes and if she didnt like it she didnt have to be in the wedding. She said well dang Miss Bridezilla and hung up on me. I mean am I wrong. Payed the deposit for my girls dresses and flowers now they want to complain. They don't realize I can start over!

lol! It's your wedding. It was kinda raw since they are having to pay for their own stuff. My girls can't say CRAP because I paid for everything - their dresses and even travel expenses for my MOH.
I'm sorry when someone asks you to be in their wedding and you accept...guess what?......EXPECT TO SHELL OUT SOME CASH! I mean everyone knows that you will have to pay for a dress you may or may not like, you might have to pay for shoes jewelry etc. You might have to contribute to a bridal shower, I mean either say no when asked or GET OVER IT! I don't understand people that agree and then want to act like they didn't know what saying yes meant...unless your fortunate enough to have a bride that pays for everything like Classy which is rare! You are NOT acting like bridezilla, you have a right to get upset with your sister springing all of this on you....my opinion...
I had a moment as well yesterday. But, this is your wedding and I don't think you were wrong. I told FH yesterday, please pray for me because SOMEBODY is definately going to cursed out before it's all said and done.
MzTajsia, you were not wrong. Your day, your way -- plain and simple.

I agree. I think people should repect the BRIDE'S wishes. If not, they shouldn't participate.
Born Blessed!
Well said Plat!

You were kind, Tajsia. Nobody's bridezilla. Sometimes people, even your own sister needs to be reminded who's day it is. By the way, MOH should have your back when the bridal party starts whining, not joining the ranks and complaining to you. She should be keeping them in check when you're not there to defend your decisions or calm people's nerves.
Thats why I only got BM's.....And they got my back! Its just too much fuss. My thing is this, if you don't want to pay for it, then she is going to have to roll the daggone aisle runner out or pass out programs. Enough is enough....If she doesn't order a dress then there is nothing you can do, just let it go. If you like the dress then just go with the BM's who are willing to wear the dress. Whoever doesn't order, then what can you do? Certainly not stress YOURSELF about it:)

I agree with that, however, I know I almost blew up in my friend's face when she was getting married because it seemed she couldn't use tact or consideration when telling me what she wanted from us. I'm not saying MzTajsia is like my friend - only saying that as a former bridesmaid, it's not fun to pay lots of $$ for a dress you don't like and then to get attitude from the bride.
My girls dresses are 65 dollars. I found them on sample sale and the lady knows my manager and is holding them for me.
Their shoes are 40 dollars unless I find them on sale
and thier bouquets are 50 dollars.
So that is why I lost it. I mean when I first went shopping I saw a dress that cost 350 and was a simple sheath dress.
I paid the deposit for their dresses and bouquets they have to pay the balance. I am not asking for the deposits back. That is what got me hot under the collar.

Now, those are great prices!!!!
My FH sometimes tells me that I am turning into a Bridezilla, but we usually just laugh about it together. I want things the way that I want them, but then I feel like I am being too demanding, which I'm really not. I guess I just want everyone in my bridal party to be happy. I let my BM's pick the dress they are wearing out of 5 choices I gave them. I guess I lucked out because all of my maids have told me that whatever I want they will do. I wish that for every bride.
My girls told me the same exact thing, however one doesnt feel comfortable with a strapless dress, and one says its my wedding have what I want, but she doesnt think they should carry kissing balls, and the other one debating on how she should have her hair.

Too much! And they wonder where all this Bridezilla mess comes from?!? Go figure.
Wifey it's so funny. We're both marrying Postal workers, My girls dresses are strapless and they are also carrying rose balls. Maybe you are my other personality that I'm not aware of :).
