I don't have a date as of yet, but I am still planning and saving.I see that several of you have chosen to use consultants what are the average prices you are paying and what kind of package are they offering you. I know that I am not going to be in the city that I am getting married in so this will sort of hender my planning . So, I am wondering how much of my budget I need to put towards this. All my visisters that are palnners I need you help please.

Shea, bridal consultant/planner/directors either will charge you a flat fee or a percentage (1-3 percent) of your total wedding expenses. Start calling/emailing some planners in the city you plan to marry in to get some prices so you have an idea of how much you'll need.

We are getting married away so one of the things I needed as part of my wedding package was a wedding planner. I did some research and decided to have it at the hotel with the wedding coordinator that anwsered all of my pre wedding questions and then some.

I got a consultant to help with the rehersal/dinner and with the day of the wedding. I don't want to leave it up to friends or family members to get the key items to its proper place, like making sure the favors are set up properly at the reception site or ensuring that I as saved from all of the nonsense they may come up that day.

i did the day of coordinator also. she is handeling the rehearsal and day of.i dont anything ascue either
I have a coordinator as well. She charged me a flat fee based upon the numer of things I needed her to execute. She was a WORTHY investment!
i was wondering about the fee. since she has stepped it up a bit and i am using her "connections" for lower fees, i.e. chair covers and sashes are 4.00 with her discount they are 2.50 per chair. she is charging a flat feee and i did not choke, neither did he :) at the price. i think i made a nice choice since i dont want to stay at the hotel near the venue fh and i are staying at our first get away hotel. its near the house and its wonderful.

Sorry I haven't been on lately. Work is driving me crazy and so forth. I will call around and see what the going rate is. I think i like the flat fee. I know pretty much how I want my wedding to go it is just being able to execute.
