Hi ladies, I'm getting close to the date and I don't have a hairstyle. My hair is a little pass my shoulders and I want to wear it up. Does anyone has any ideas or pictures? Please help.

Hi KMED122 Rosie has a Photo Gallery. If you click on it you will see that they have African American Hairstyles. I actually chose an updo from the gallery (Tab #4 - "Revolution Hair Design Salon). Good luck.

Hey u know what I found out that really helps with the hairstyle. Go and look at the picture of the dress and look at the models hair and just go from that. I know that when they put those dresses on the model they always make sure the hair goes in tune with the style of the dress. But that does not mean you have to do your hair exactly like it. You know what hairstyle compliments your face so take the picture and maybe take a couple of ideas and turn it into what looks good on you. For example....the girl in my pic has her hair down with a simple hump so I know I would better with curls so I'm going to do a hump with curls. See it's not that hard I have seen a lot of brides who have hairstyles that don't even match the style of their dress. Like I seen one bride that had a beautiful dress with lots of beadwork and she had her hair way on top of her head in pincurls. O.k so it was a nice hair style but personally the dress was nice and soft looking so the hairstyle should have looked nice and soft too, not like it been plastered on top of her head.

That would be me! *raises hand* My dress has lots of beading, but I'm actually asking her to starch my hair down in an updo. Gel, hairspray...anything she needs to freeze that stuff into place. I don't want to see a hair flicker in the wind. Texas humidity + my hair w/o reinforcement at an outside wedding = Don King hair style. I learned my lesson at another wedding. I'm also going to need stiff hair so that my veils will stay put. Right now, the combs give me a headache when I try to make them stay w/o lots of gel and hair pins.
