Veils - are you wearing one?

Starting a thread about veils since I try mine on at least once a day. LOL. Some brides choose not to wear a veil and I've seen some brides not have a blusher veil, but they have a longer veil they wear off of their face the whole ceremony.

Are you wearing a veil? How long is it? Color? Embellishments? (spelling?)

Re: Veils - are you wearing one?

I'm wearing a veil w/tiara. It is 2 tiered elbow length, trimmed in red ribbon all the way around. I did not want a blusher but FH really wld like 1 so i'm considering it. Okay 4 clarification my veil is attatched to a comb that tucks and my tiara will be in or near the front. I want my veil to just hang from the back. I think you ladies have the idea.

I'm wearing a tiara and a veil. The tiara is very beautiful and the veil is a plain one with rhinestone edging. It's elbow length.

Re: Veils - are you wearing one?

I wasn't going to wear a veil at first, but while at the bridal salon the sales associate asked me just to try one on and every since then I fell in love with it.

Re: Veils - are you wearing one?

I was not going to wear on either, but when I tried on my dress with it...it worked. It's a single peace that will probably hang from the crown of my head back, I'm still looking for some time of tiara or comb to go with....I want something simple, maybe more of a head band then tiara.....

Re: Veils - are you wearing one?

I wore a two-tier fingertip length veil. It was embellished with crystals & rhinestones scattered along the edge. I wanted to wear a tiara too, but I never found 'the one'.

I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Me too! But I have a plain pencil edge with very few crystals scattered throughout. My veil is 3 tier cathedral length (almost elbow length, then waist length, then cathedral length tiers). I had it made so that the blusher is on one comb and the other two teirs are on a separate comb. That way, I can take off the two long tiers after the ceremony and leave the blusher one pulled back for the reception.

Classy just a word of encouragement -- it will work out fine. I had some major "stuff" that I had to deal with. I refused to talk about it because it was really upsetting me. Well low and behold, it work out in the end. Hang in there darling and don't let anyone/anything steal your joy!

Thanks. You and the ladies on here are keeping me from actually saying these things to people and making the situation worse for myself by letting me blab about it on here.

That's why we are here my sister to listen and be there for you. This site has been an awesome source of support for me during my planning stages, that's why I'm still here, giving back what was given to me. :-) -- Sending you a big hug!

Re: Veils - are you wearing one?

So true Rhonda....this site is a great support system. Just try and remember as special as we want our days to be....a marriage is MUCH more then that one day. Try your best not to let that's going to last a couple of hours stress you out too badly (I know...I know easier said then done, and hopefully I will remember my own advice when I have 5 days left). But we are here for you so keeping on venting...we'll keep on listening...

Re: Veils - are you wearing one?

I dread looking for a veil. There are just many choices. The one that I want that goes with my dress cost toooooooo much so, I will not be getting that. I'm not going to put it over my face. I'm not even sure how I going to wear my hair and I know that also plays a part in choosing a veil. Has anyone found any good deals?
