Hi ladies, this question is for those of you who have children. How are you incoporating your children into the wedding?
My daughter sung a solo (I believe in You & Me, Whitney Houston). We also presented her with a birthstone ring that had my husband, hers and my birthstone with diamonds. She was also escorted by two groomsmen (which made her feel wonderful) because one of the ladies dropped out of the wedding at the last minute. I also bought her a different dress from the rest of the ladies which also made her stand out. She was totally beaming that day because she felt very special.

My 2 older boys ( 12 and 13) will be groomsmen, my 13 year old is actually the best man! My 8 year old is the bellringer and he will be wearing a tux and top hat, ringing his bell and shouting "here come the bride" We are also having a family sand ceremony where everybody gets thier own color sand in a small vase to pour into a large vase. We decided to do a lot with the boys after out 12 and 13 year old told us that it was thier wedding too( lol lol lol)

My son will be carrying the four elements for the me and FH to taste before the vows.
My daughter will be carrying the rings and family medallions
Our twins will hopefully walk not run down the isle to grandpa and grandma who will be holding lollipops or bags of candy at the other end.
There is a possibilty thought they may get carried bcuz they hate to walk on anything other than the hard cement.
I will keep you all posted on how that works out.
Introducng the new Mrs. Durrant!!!
My kids are part of the bridal party: My son is a Jr Groomsman, my step-daughter is a Jr Bridesmaid, and our daughter is the flower girl. We will also be doing a "family" unity candle lighting.
We wanted our 8 year old to be a Jr.BM but I guess she felt slighted because our 4 year old was going to be the flower girl, so I decided that they could both be flower girls. My oldest will come down first with one color pedals and the youngest will come down second with another color. My 4 year old seems to be excided about the prospect of wearing a fancy dress and tiara. Can't wait to see how pretty they look. I think seeing the girls come down the isle will make FH cry. Can't wait to see that one!
-LOVE the sand idea!
My two daughters will be junior BM they are 8 and 9. When I started planning the wedding the first thing they said was please don't make us flower girls we are always flower girls in every wedding. Plus they said we are too old. Which I agree, normally the flower girl is very young and cute.
Your ceremonies will be ones to remember and the children will be overjoyed!
