Fusion Hair Weave

Has anyone tried a Fusion (a.k.a. Strand by Strand) hair weave? I hear that they are versatile and natural looking. I'm thinking about getting one for my big day but I haven't found a stylist that will do it for less than $500.

Re: Fusion Hair Weave

I am familiar with fusion weave. Let me just warn you, if you are going to do it....BELIEVE ME.....spend the money and get it done right. My cousin got it done for her wedding, I believe she paid $300 for it and it was HORRIBLE. The lady didn't do it right at all, the strand sections were too big so you can see the spaces in her hair, you could also see where the substance they use to fuse the hair, it was not cute....luckily one of her friends were able to put it up in a cute updo for her so you couldn't really tell how bad the job was......MAKE SURE you see some of the people's hairs she's done also.....

I have definately heard of this. However, the 2 things I heard was not good. Both ladies hair came out terribly when it was taken out. Go to a very reputible source and DO NOT try to take it out yourself.

Thanks for your input, Ladies. I'm still checking out this method as well as other options. I don't want a bond weave (glue).

Re: Fusion Hair Weave

Have you considered the quick weave? This is where they gel all of your hair down, get a cap kind of like a stocking cap and put it on your hair, they then glue the tracks ONTO the cap. This way you can still do things with your hair, and don't have to worry about you hair getting damage. OR you can consider getting in sewn in....those can be your options...

I've thought about a quick weave but I was looking at the "Fusion" because I wanted a weave that can be versatile.

I have no idea I didnt ask her. I have never seen her real hair, she constantly gets this hair weave.

I've heard of this too and have seen some chicks with it in also. But I was under the impression that this technique is for white people (?mistaken?)I don't know?

Many Black women get this technique however, when I checked it out online, many Caucasian women get it too. What I like about it is that you don't have to worry about "tracks" showing.

My god sister was getting her done in Virginia I am not sure she how much she paid. If it is done right. your hair is beautiful. Like the other ladies have stated before if you get it done make sure you find someone who is excellent at doing this and yes it will cost a pretty penny.

Re: Fusion Hair Weave

I heard of it first with white women. I think Askalot is right, get it done right and please beleive if its done right, its going to cost you lots of $$$. I like quick weave's versatility, but when I got it done, and they either didn't gel my hair enough, ot I didn't keep it in long enough but it itched so bad I was very uncomfortable. Then when I went to take it out (like I said may have been too early, or too much glue or whatever), the tracks still snatched some of my real hair even thought it was gelled down.

I think sew-in in the best. Its very versatile, and even if you get a really experienced stylist to hook it up, it should still cost you way less than $500.00. There is little hair loss, and you can take it out yourself if you like.

Re: Fusion Hair Weave

I've been wearing a sew-in for about a week now and I'm pleased with the results. I went to an African braid shop and they did a great job. I may get another sew-in weave for my wedding.
