Although we would've liked knowing you throughout the planning process of your wedding and we would've like to see the choices of your wedding dress and that of your bridal party as well, we're glad that you finally decided to join our party.
Actually Ginoue ...I brought my dress last month some time as a matter of fact the day we set the date for the ummmm 3rd time and I haven't picked out a dress for my girls (I'm making those, so I guess I should said I didn't pick out a pattern yet). We are trying to stick close to the Christmas theme with the date being 12/28 so my dress is gold where he and I are going to be in gold and the rest in cranberry. So I still have a lot to do in 18 weeks .... :) (And I did get a lot of help from here visiting ...Thank you all ladies)
BTW if I have a pic of my dress on my pc, how do I post it so you'll can see it?
Thanks! I'm so excited .. :) How are you coming along with everything?

Most of the ladies know my plans but I will be glad to tell you. I really dont have any plans! lol I am getting married in St. Thomas while on a cruise. Simple & easy! The island wedding planner did everything all my FH & I have to do is show up! lol
Hey Ieasha...that was own original plan as well. Getting married on a cruise to Bermuda, but because we want a good amount of our family there with us, we are going stay here in Baltimore to marry where all of our family is. Have fun on the cruise of us too .. :).
Wow, Turiya, that's very creative of you, doing all your BMs dresses yourself. Don't tackle on too much. We wouldn't want you to overexert yourself by doing too many things. I hope your bridal party is very helpful to you and your FH as well.
Ms. Ieasha - great idea, but won't you miss having a lot of your family and friends there?

My family is from all over the carribean so a few of them will island hop and my mother & stepfather are going to fly out to the island to be there. Some of his family is going to fly there also. We want our day to just basically be about us although it offended a lot of other family members, this is what we felt was best for us. As for friends because we are getting married around the holidays we figured we would throw a New Year/Wedding celebration party.
Wow, you truly have it all together. Congrats to you and your FH. The way you plan to combine a holiday celebration and your wedding reception into 1 - superb!!!
I have this site & bridezillas to thank for my calaberation! The ladies on here are so wonderful. To read all the post there is always some useful information. Even with the ladies who just want to vent, you find useful information. Take a little bit of this, a sprinkle of that and a pinch of this and they give you plenty of ideas.
Ginoue ...I'm slowing changing my mind, although it's only 2 girls to worry about that's why I opted to make the dresses ...(I sew all the time). However outside of the two girls I do have my daughters' to do too ... 2 flower girls and a town crier. You think it will be too much to do those ...well let me say this too ...I was thinking about buying my daughters' dresses (flower girls anyway) and make my oldest daughter's ...she looks JUST LIKE me and I thought it will be cute for her to look a little similar to me.
Think long and hard because you don't have much time ahead of you and you may have a few things still left unchecked on your list. Pace yourself and as for the flowergirls, you can find their dresses under $70.00
FutureMrsKeepup thank you so much for showing me this! I have already picked out my baby's dress for 39 bucks wohoo!!! :)
No problem Turiya! I'm always looking for a deal! Especially with special occasion clothes for kids. I might order my niece's dress early so she can wear it for Easter. No need for her to have 2 dresses she'll only wear once!
Ladies, I have a question. We are not doing to a bouquet/garder toss, at the time alotted for that we are doing a "special deditication" with a real rose bouquet (I say real bc I'm thinkin of getting a crystal bouqet for me for the ceremony) to our special's who are still alive ..ie, mom, stepmom, grands, and 3 aunts and one uncle who raised my FH ...now I wanted "Wind Beneath My Winds" to be played as we dedicate, when we dedicate we are going to say a small something of why they are the winds beneath our wings ...NOW the question is ...do we say our small something all at once like go down the list, THEN go around give 2 roses to each while the song is now playing OR have the song playing softly in the back ground while we saying our small something one by one giving the roses then the telling the next there small something ..make sense? Ok like we are goin to be standing (after the toss is made to us) and I say the small something to my mom and walk over to her then walk back the center, then he say his small something to one of his aunts then walk back then my turn again ...all the while the song is playin softly ...and the last two dedications will be from me to his closest aunt thanking her for accepting me, and then to my mom from him thanking her ....help please ..which way is best?
Ladies, I have another questions ...can anyone direct me where to find a gold veil, or gold accented one please? And help me with my other question above :)
Ladies .....I have PICTURES of some dresses I picked out ...if you give me some advice on the question I have 2 post above this ...I'll show you ...(wink-wink) ...I know how you ladies just love pictures ...so come on advise please, cause you know I want to show you the pictures (anyway) ... :)
Turiya I don't know how we missed your post! My apologies sister!
I think whatever way you do the dedication would be fine - just try not to have it too drawn out. I think you both should present each rose also, instead of taking turns. It can be your 1st activity as an official married couple!
As far as the veil, try Monique at Phenomenal Designs. She is a vet on this site and is closing her bridal shop. She may have a deal for you! You may need to go with an ivory veil with gold accents. HTH!
Ok ...Future ...sometimes I'm convinced I had a few trips on the short bus ...break this down for me please "[ img]www.whatever.com[ /img] without the spaces" ...inside the bracket is "img" does that mean I copy the picture there, then put the website, then copy the picture again?
BTW my sister (MatronOH), said the same thing you did, EVERYTHING together now. Thanks! ..:)

Speaking of tradional ...I know I asked about a veil earlier, well I have decided against wearing one ...what imma do is just losely pin my hair up with those "bridal" clippy things ...so no veil or tiara ...just a golden bride ... :).
I was trying to figure out how to send you guys my favors, but I only have it in pdf form...they are gold christmas balls, with out monogram on them in cranberry. :)

What about your qoute...All I want for Christmas is you.
Are you planning on standing under the mistletoe for your first kiss? That would be cute.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
I like both now, you started something ..LOL.
Which one would be best ...both would be too much huh?
We wasn't doing an archway ...but it's an idea, and if so have a mistletoe? If we don't do an archway, how can I incorporate the mistletoe?
