Hey ladies,
We just finalized our reception menu. Wanted to share it and see what y'all think and also see what other people are serving. Here goes ...
1. Assorted fruit and cheese display
2. Assorted grilled vegetables and dips display
3. Pasta station: penne and angel hair pasta, alfredo & primavera sauce, shrimp, sausage, chicken and assorted vegetables
4. Carving station: Prime rib, honey ham and assorted breads & condiments
5. Chicken Teryaki skewers
6. Sweet and sour meatballs
7. Twice-baked stuffed potatoes (bite-size)
8. Stuffed mushrooms
9. Tomato-mozzarella bruschetta
10. Spinach-artichoke dip and fancy bread
11. And for dessert, we're not having the traditional brides cake or grooms cake -- instead we're having one-tier 10-inch cakes in various flavors on every guest table, decorated with white buttercream icing, dots, our monogram and fresh flowers on top. The flavors: red velvet, carrot, white chocolate brownie, strawberry, Italian cream, white with strawberry filling, white with rasperry filling, lemon and white scratch with vanilla, almond and gran marnier filling (for our table!)

Honey all I can say is...."CAN A SISTA' GET AN INVITATION!!!!" LAWDY...you are having some good stuff going on there! I almost don't want to give my menu after that...mouth just watering right now! lol...anyways...we are having a mixture between American and Liberian Food:

You are too funny! My mouth is watering, too. Doesn't take much to do that, though, because eating all of these frozen Lean Cuisines on this wedding diet just ain't doing the trick! You menu sounds wonderful, too!

OH yeah for dessert we are having a traditional 4 tier wedding cake, but we also plan on having a "dessert table". What I'm planning is to have things like brownies, cookies, mini cheescakes etc on it for those that don't eat wedding cake.
And you right.....it really does not take much to make my mouth water either...HA!!!>...lol....but you menu really sounds good.....alot of variety...

I haven't had my tasting or picked out my menu yet. I plan on doing that sometime in July.
I fell off the diet wagon so long ago...I'll have to try again soon. Our menu (subject to my bipolar mood swings) so far is:
