Hi ViBride sistas. I never thought I would be the one to be so attached to a pet. I mean its just an animal right? WRONG! I lost my dog today :( My FH and I are so distraught. He was a Rottweiler, just a baby (7 months). It doesn't take long to fall in love. I'm thinking of telling the kids he ran away or someone stole him. They LOVE that dog, especially my 18-month old. She at the door now doing her Suki-call. Awwww! Will post again later. Let me get the baby!

Sorry for your loss. Although I've never lost a pet, I can some what relate. We have a 2 year old pitbull that I never realized I cared so much for either until he got hurt fighting with "something" underneath my porch stairs. We tore our stairs up trying to get to him. Luckily he was okay but from the blood on his nose you'd thought he was really hurt. We never did find what he was fighting but we think it was a cat.
I will keep your family in my prayers.

Future I feel you! I have a dumb/fat/lazy english bulldog...but she's like a family member. I don't know what we would do without her.
I know it hurts...we're not crazy, we luv our babies.
GOD...I could just cry thinking of your little baby looking for the dog :(
hey, what happened?
Thanks ladies. FH is no good right now.
MsBoston, my little Suki caught the parvovirus. He got sick on Monday and had gotten worse every day since. We took him to the vet but his medicine wasn't coming until tomorrow.
The baby is still looking for him! I guess she thought about him again after dinner. HEART-BREAKING! Let me try to get her to sleep.
Aww my heart is breaking for you. My family has had plenty of pets over the years. When I was little, maybe 10 we had this stray (but obviously house trained puppy come into front yard. I had been beggin my mom for a pet (as we had lost our boxer maybe a year before. THe dog broke off the chain and ran around the neighbor hood until someone saw her, stopped their car up the street and pulled her in!)
So how about we were taking care of the dog for about a month and this man comes up the street and calls out "Skittles!" Do you know the puppy tore across the yard and to that strange man! I ran and got my mom and he explained it was his dog. Our feelings were so hurt.
I hope you find your dog. :)

Its ok Abeni, your heart's in the right place. I'll charge it to your mind considering what you're going through!
I am SOOO sorry for your lost. They are like part of your family for real! Like I told you in my other post I have a dog that's been sick and in pain for the past month or so...so I feel you for real! I always wanted a dog from since I was a little girl. My mother wouldn't let me get one, so as soon as I moved out I got one....and My sweet Boots have been with me ever since. I can imagine how much you hurt.....
I am sooo sorry for your loss. I lost one of pets (a finch) last year and I took it hard. People call me crazy, but I loved that bird! I had it for 12 years and it grew on me and my kids. Anyway, we had to "put it down" and I cried and cried in that vets office!
I definately feel your pain. And your poor daughter! How is she doing now?
She's a happy baby so she's not moping but everytime she's by the back door or the basement door she looks for him. I've been finding things to distract her.
