Good job! How was the addressing process for you?
...and i'll be sending mine out by the 19th if all goes well.
Did you end up having .41 cent stamps? my invites are a little 'weighty' and I'm worried that i'll have to pay more...i'll have to take one to the post office just to make sure. Last thing I need is 100 'return to sender' invites in my mailbox :(
Hey MsBoston, we actually ended up with the 58 centers. Do be sure to do it on the scale in the hallway and then have someone behind the counter weigh the invite as well.
House - girl I know it! I certainly hope that 'my peoples' are timely!
We have sent out 76 and invited 175. We shall see if that holds up. I expect that we will have some declines since we are a holiday weekend, but I'm ready for it!
Post cards are a great idea! This a stupid questions but did you get them to match your invites or do they have your pictures on them? I was thinking about sending postcard STDs with our pics on them but I don't know where to get them made.
We actually did DIY for invites and just had them to cut the paper to the size of the post cards. Here's some pics of the invites and the postcards. We brought our paper at paper source. I believe their website is www.papersource.com.
And this is how we numbered them so that if we got one back without a name, we could trace it back. This is 'T' for test. Its the one we sent to ourselves.
Great job Barnett. We're doing DIY invites as well. Did you DIY the envelopes as well or purchase them. I purchased a paper cutter to experiment with DIYing the envelopes, but have yet to pull it out.
We sent out invitations out excatly 2 months before the wedding on a Saturday and got RSVP's back by the next Wednesday and have gotten RSVP's back everyday. We had to use 58 cent stamps on the outer envelopes and 41 cents on the RSVP's.
I mailed my invites out last Tuesday (7/17)and got my first RSVP's back by Saturday (7/21) and they've been coming in every day since. And none are saying no yet! Oh lordy.
So everyone used the 58 cent stamps? We were RIGHT on the border of 1 ounce so we were able to use 41 cents on both the outer and the inner. Then I took them all to the post office and had them hand cancel the stamps instead of putting that bar code on the envelope.
Our deadline is today and we are still missing responses from about 45 people. :( Time to start calling!

I checked to see how many cards we have gotten back and out of the 77 that we sent, we have gotten 7... Now I know my people take time, but this is borderline stoopid!!! I am not in the mood to start calling folks. The deadline is Aug. 4th which is next week...
That's a good question about the price for the stamps. I think I would have to take my invitations to the post office so they could tell me how much it is going to cost to ship them out.

I will definately be making my first "gangsta" phone call tonight. Now, my invites have ADULT RECEPTION IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING. Why did my cousin add her baby to the list???????? What don't you understand about ADULT RECEPTION. Pray for me ladies. lol
The child just turned 1, 2 days ago. I left her a message but she has yet to call me back. I can see me know, we're saying our vows and I hear a cry or a whimper, Oh lordy! Let me not even go there.
Oh yeah, time to start mailbox stalking!!!
LOL, well good luck with the rsvp process.

Congratulations!!!!!
MsB, I'm almost 100% certain that you need 58 cent stamps for the outer envelopes and the 41 cent stamps for the response envelopes.
We did 58 cents for the outer and used postcards for the RSVP.

Hey Traccee - We brought the envelopes from paper source. I can't remember how much they were, but they are the same paper as the invites.
We sent out invitations out excatly 2 months before the wedding on a Saturday and got RSVP's back by the next Wednesday and have gotten RSVP's back everyday. We had to use 58 cent stamps on the outer envelopes and 41 cents on the RSVP's.

As gangsta as Askalot is they might be scared to do that!

Her Askalot, you wanna make my phone calls as well?
Askalot, maybe she feels her baby is very mature for the age, and can hang with the grown and sexy.
