Rosie, we had a great time! DH and I went to the wine and chocolate tasting with 4 other couples. It was fun! I don't usually drink so it was different for me. We toured the facilitly first and our tour guide was great. The chocolate was delicious too! We went back home and relaxed a little bit, then went to dinner. We hadn't been to that restaurant before, but their food was delicious. Then afterwards, the salsa dance party was a lot of fun. Everyone was decked out in their Valentine's red or pink. The band was fantastic. We were not disappointed with Tyler Perry's stage play on Sunday. That was our first time seeing one. "The Marriage Counselor" had a brand new cast. It was moving and funny at the same time. His actors and actresses could really sing too. I think the funniest character was the actor who played the father. He's the barber on the "House of Payne" TV show. I didn't know he had so much talent.
I received flowers on Wednesday and the card said, "so you can enjoy these for the rest of the week, at work". Saturday morning, I woke up early to open my gift. He gave my some Coach sunglasses that I've wanted since Christmas. Later, we went to Benihana's for lunch. We went by my mom's and gave her a card & roses. (since my dad passed in 2002, my sisters & I vowed to always get mom somethng on Valentine's Day--priority one) Attempted to go the movies, but the lines were wrapped around the building, so we settled for the beach. Grabbed some Krispy Kremes on the way back.

Well we bought new furniture this week and are saving for the baby so we were just happy to have each other. I gave him a book of boudoir photos of me and he made me a steak dinner. We watched "Ray" and rewinded to our favorite parts. It was a nice holiday.
For the last couple of weeks at my co-workers suggestion I rented a hotel suite, got the rose petals, cooked dinner, backed his favorite treats and left clues for him everyday this past week leading to V-Day. The last clue was for him to call me when he got the note to come to the hotel suite....You know, surprise!
NOT.I went all the way back home to get him, cause when I called him, he sounded like he didnt want to go....Got there and he was questioning why did I do this and why do we have to go out. I think he was looking for a quiet evening at home. Thats fair. I laid in bed hurt, but quiet. He quietly packed his bags, bragged to the person who called him about his baby getting him a hotel, and rubbed my back, and we were off. I had rose petals and candles everywhere. After dinner, I realized why he wanted to stay home. The NBA all-star weekend. Had I known I would have done everything at home. We have a huge 47 inch, flat screen, HDTV, surround sound system. The hotel had at best a 27 inch. Duh Bumble. We still had a ROMANTIC evening, but unfortunately for all the prettiness of the hotel, the possessed AC kept me up. I complained and they didn't charge me for the room. And we left so early we actually made it to 9:30 AM service that morning.....
DH was definitely a good sport, and thanked me for a wonderful evening.....and I saved my $$ after all. But I learned that men like to keep it simple girls....I could have had rose petals and candles all over my apartment, which I cleaned up so we could have a clean place to come home to on Sunday!
well..DH and I exchanged gifts Sat. mornin-he gave me a card, candy, teddy bear and a tennis bracelet..I bought him card, candy and outfit (my hubby is a clothes fanatic!!) we had a late breakfast and just hung out shopping etc (me, him and the baby :)
Overall, pretty good day... :)
Aw....Kee, my heart goes out to you.
In the future, consider getting a DVR for your sweetie.

Vibrideprincess, that sounded SO romantic. All of you guys really made my heart glad. I like when the romance is still alive and kicking.

6:10am- Tried to get some yum yum from hubby

6:15am Hubby is snoring loudly so I guess it wasn't gonna happen anyway.
6:45 Spitefully make hubby get up and change the baby.
7:00am-10:30 Feed and play with Ford and Goddess.
!0:35am- Wake hubby with kisses and remind him that Ford has Ballet and then Tap class.
11:00am - Get Ford ready for her calsses andwrite 20 valentines cards for her dance classes.
11:30 - Kiss Ford and Daddy goodbye.
11:35- Feel sory for myself
11:36 - Get all mushy and overwhelmed with how much I love hubby
I spent the rest of the afternoon taking care of the baby and BURNING our romantic dinner. I'm fiit to be tied. The baby is in my arms screaming her head off. My husband smiles softly, takes the baby form me and gives me a card. He usually get funny ones. This one was so sentimental. It said the most beautiful things. I totally lost it and cried. I have known him for 26 years. Every year I get diamonds, or trips, or fancy something or the other. But this small gesture was so touching.
I LOVE BEING MARRIED! I'm so gald to see you guys love it too.

I know what you mean...loving my husband so much....I thought about that today. I can only imagine the immense love I would have for our child.
Every minute is filled with babies, work or hubby. But I love being a wife and now a mother. If you remember through all the fights or bad times that the BEST IS YET TO COME in your marriage, you will have a long and blessed union. That advice was given to me and it makes me remember that I vowed to make my marriage work.
All the little things make the most magical memories. I love my sweet honey pot. Who else will dedicate so much time to fixing the bugs I create on VIbride, but Eloi??? AND he does it for FREE (He dosen't always get the payment in sex that he prefers).
Girl, you KNOW when he got that HD cable box he had to get that DVR! He didn't record it or make a big deal about not recording it:
1. Cause the recordings are full. No more room to record anything else right now.
And 2: He knew he wasn't going to really really like the All-Star weekend. So he just wanted to watch it just so he can talk trash about it. I made sure I let him feel like its all about him, and enjoyed the game with him.
You are a good girl for still watching the game with him. I honestly don't know if I would have been as thoughtful!
My hubby just leaves crap sitting on Tivo too. I mean you can stor like 20 hours of crap and it still gets full!
