We may have covered this before, but I am wondering for some of the newer brides. For those brides who have children, how are you incorporating them in the wedding. Are you giving them keepsakes, having them take part in a sand ceremony, etc.? When we got married our daughter was our soloist. She was our "princess bridesmaid" as well. She was too old (16) to be a junior bride and I wanted her to stand out from the other ladies. We also presented her with a ring that has her dad's, mine and her birthstones. The ring was also engraved with our wedding date and names.

Well, my children are much older 16,17 and 18 respectively. All of my children are part of my wedding party and the plan is also to have my elder son walk me down the aisle.
As for FH, We're still in negotiations with his ex to see if she'd allow his girls to participate in our wedding. They're much younger and we wanted to incorporate them in the wedding by having one as a Flower Girl and the other a Junior Bridesmaid. I also wanted to do something else with them as well, but I don't want to get ahead of myself, just in case if this lady decided to play hardball and refuse to let the girls participate.
SO,in reply to your answer DaughterRhonda, I'm not really sure at this point.
Me and FH have two little girls 7 and 4 I want to include them both in the ceremony. They are my only flower girls but I still want to do something special for them especially since they are so happy about it you would think it was their wedding. They have alot of jewelry already but I still thinking a nice piece of jewelry and maybe a sand ceremony but I wanted to do something unique.
But I am open to suggestions if you have any.

Our daughter will be a flowergirl, she's 2 1/2. Our son will be the ringbearer, he's 8. If FH's visitation is approved in time his 12yo son will be a groomsman (he's 5'8) and his 10yo son will be a Jr. groomsman. His daughter is 19 and was supposed to be a BM but dropped off the face of the earth! LOL!
Nothing special for them in the ceremony but all the boys will receive a photo cufflinks at the rehearsal dinner and the girls will receive lockets.
My son is 8 so DH and I did the blended family ceremony where FH made a vow to my son to love him as his own etc...and presented him with a medallion necklace
