My mother didnt want a funeral so we had a memorial and it was awesome. It was sooooo upbeat that no one even cried and then we mixed and mingled. So many people can and we had a great time. A person there who is ill even said that she wants the same service for herself.
We really celebrated life and love with the service and I know mom would have loved it!

That is great news!! I know people may not think that it is the "appropriate" thing to say, but if you guys were able to turn sorrow into celebration it is great news!! My thoughts and prayers are still with you...

Thats great news in spite of. I am glad all went well at her memorial service. I envision a similar situation with mine. I want people smiling and remembering. Not sad. Blessings to you and your family.

My family is sooo silly we had a roast about her in the hospital.We each stood at the edge of her bed and talked about her bad. It was so funny!

This is great. Life should be celebrated as death is not the end but the beginning of another wonderful life in heaven. So rejoice that she's now with the father. Bless your family.
