Centerpieces

I'm seriously "ballin on a budget." What are some inexpensive but elegant centerpiece ideas?

Re: Centerpieces

It depends on your actual budget....

You can do A LOT with a Little. You can do a beautiful Centerpiece for $5.00 a table. Its not so much how much you spend, but what exactly you do with what you have.

1. I would first look at how much you can afford to spend, and then decide....

2. Either draw out or at least write down what you envisioned for the centerpices...Are you looking to do candles? If you are doing flowers would you consider silk flowers? Then you have many levels/quality and prices of silk flowers depending on the flower type. Of course you can get a lot of vases for less than 5 dollars if you hunt. Even candles can run from 0.50 to over 5.00/candle...

3. Finally run through your favorite pics, tear them out and figure out what it would take to replicate this look...which is what most of us do. All of the vibrides who do this have fabulous results...Sometimes you have to do it yourself, meaning, starting months in advance and just making them all yourself. After doing this, they find that "creativity within", and start making the favors, the bouquets, and then they end up managing it all-which I am all for if you do it in a timely manner.

Good Luck and Happy Planning.

My sisters are absolutely right. However, how about something truly inexpensive? You may choose to buy bud vases, $.50 each, and a single rose with some greenery. You may buy a bouquet of flowers and a bouquet of greens and have your centerpieces done for under $50 total. So, jot down some ideas and locate alternative ways of achieving them.

Re: Inexpensive Centerpieces

How about Flower Table Numbers

Or
Flower Monograms Centerpiece. They are so pretty and need no further embellishment.
Or
You could place your wedding favors on a cake plate or riser and the display makes a practical centerpiece.

Re: Centerpieces

Welcome DJ,
I agree with Soon. Candles are very inexpensive. You can get some 3x9 or 2x8 candles from the dollar store, put a candle ring around the bottom of it and even print a monogram or something cute onto clear vellum or transparency paper and attach it to the center of the candle and VOILA!!! simple and elegant (in my opinion)

Re: Centerpieces

I did something similar to Shy. I bought engraved (with our initials) "fish bowls" from Ebay, filled them with clear marbles, water and silver floating candles that were in the shape of a rose. I put that on top of a mirrored glass bottom and bought silk rose petals in bulk and put them around the table. I received a lot of compliments and I didn't spend a lot of money because I bought everything in bulk. Also everything was purchased on Ebay.

BTW - Welcome DJalonaylor! Welcome to the sisterhood! These ladies are fabulous!!!
