Thank you, Jesus! Please let it be the same result when I wake up in the morning....still keeping him and his family in prayer for their safety and protection.
...and making plans for the Inauguration P-A-R-T-Y!
WOW!!!! He actually won!!! History has been made! I pray God's protection over his family, I pray that he stays consistent with all he spoke on during his campaign, I pray for his body, his mind and his spirit, that God will keep Him in perfect peace throughout his Presidency. I pray that he will be the best President we've ever had, I pray that God will increase his knowledge and strength because he's going to need every single drop of it to start this country back on the right path. I pray that we ALL continue to do our parts to help get this country back. I pray that it does not stop at the voting booths, but carry on through each of our communities!
WOW...I just can't believe this...it's amazing simply amazing!
I am so HAPPY!!!!!
We just can't give up now, come too far from where we started from...
Nobody told US the road would be easy but I don't believe HE brought US this far to leave US. (everytime I think of the elections, that song pops in my head)
I can't calm myself down...I believe change has started now and definitely will continue on...

Ladies,
This is something that my friend sent me. It is part of an email that he sent to her, telling her about something a situation that happened with him today...
I have every confidence that Mr. President-Elect, Barack Hussein Obama, is going to be one of the best, if not THE BEST, president this country has ever had. Like Michelle, I am so PROUD of this country right now. We came together to do what's right for the United States and the world. Finally, we have an intelligent, dignified president who will lead this country in the right direction. WoooooooooooooHoooooooooooooo! THANK YOU, God! Our prayers have been answered. Those who are grumbling, get over it and support our new president.
Y'all watch for all the new babies who are going to be named "Barack!" :oD
:tear-tear:
OMG....I am full of joy, emotions, excitement and pride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I pray for his safety and I pray that his term be a success for our Country. This is not only a historical movement but a moment of unity and truth of our United States, our fellow Americans and the World. Yes We Can!!!!!!!! We Did so now lets give him even more of our support so that the next four years will be better than the last. Amen!
I cannot stop tearing up. When I think of all that we have been through, our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great grandparents and beyond, I just give thanks and all the Glory to Him!
I thank Him for allowing us this day.
I thank Him for having my kids with me in the voting booth yesterday so they can call also be able to say, I went inside the booth with my mother to vote for the 1st African-American president.
I thank Him for giving me health and strength to get out and vote.
I can go on and on - I am just so HAPPY!!!! Do you guys realize that WE MADE HISTORY????????
All of the papers in my area are SOLD OUT. I am looking for a NY Daily News and I can't find one anywhere!
She looks AWESOME!!!! And what a blessing to live for 106 years. She certainly has seen a lot in her days... good and bad, but I'll bet this is, BY FAR, the best ever!!!
LADIES, If I tell you its like ghost town here at my job.....Nobody is saying NOTHING about lastnight's election results. Now mind you, its only two of US in this office of 10 and we are silently excited. But you can hear a pin drop around here. They don't like it one bit, BUT they miteiswell get used to it because OBAMA is here to stay baby!!!!!
[quote="cmt"]..Nobody is saying NOTHING about last night's election results.

Same thing at my job. Occasionally you catch some whispering going on but nobody saying ANYTHING. I mean this is a school, we teach Social Studies & History and there is NO conversation on such an historic event!!! It's crazy. More hating going on here than I would have thought.

That's a shame. My DH, who works in Va, also said it was a somber mood at his workplace yesterday. At my office in Baltimore, people are talking about it. People are happy. Shoot, I was talking about it very openly yesterday with my co-worker, talking about which newspapers we got, which we didn't get, and which ones we're going to trade with each other. LOL! There's only a few of "us" in my dept, although the VP is a sistah. But as a whole, the company is very diverse.
The country has spoken. We can't do any worse with Obama than we did with Bush. In fact, we can only go up from here.
By the way, a friend of mine sent me pdfs of 10 different newspaper covers. I plan on printing and laminating them in addition to the ones I already had. If anyone wants the files, please send me a private message with your e-mail address.
All of my co-workers (Blacks AND Whites) here at school are celebrating because our push with our union to get Obama voted in. We all are extremely proud. I am glad to see us unite at our job. I wish you all had the same experience as me.
Yes all thanx be unto God who is the author and finisher. I've been following these elections like it was our own and to say that I was excited when Obama won is an understatement. Wishing all of you the best - the future can only be better going forward.
It's so funny, on my way home I was thinking about the impact this election has made on the world as a whole.
They put a man on the moon, and now the put an African American in the white house. When he mention the man on the moon in his speech, I cried my eyes out. The only words I had was 'thank you Jesus'. I'm so proud of everyone involved in the electing of Obama. They said that all the 'blacks' would vote for him and it didn't matter. 61% whites voted to our 21%. A portion of republicans even voted for Obama. He spoke to our needs. He will need our prays, and patients to get everything back on track.
BARACK OBAMA!!!!
I am so happy this turned out the way it did. What are your thoughts?
Thank you, Jesus! Please let it be the same result when I wake up in the morning....still keeping him and his family in prayer for their safety and protection.
