Exactly Rony...in my church right before the Homily, acrchdeacon gives the announcement, that is when he informs the church of what's happening in the upcoming week and he make announcements of births and/or deaths and congratulations...nah how in the world anyone can assume that means they are invited is beyond me!

Thanks for the advice. Charley I like the idea of smoothing it in with the announcements. My mother is sending me a sample announcement that was sent with sample invitations. I'll check it out.

How should the wording go to announce you're getting married but you're not inviting the group/person etc.? I want to have it announced in church.
