Any Las Vegas Brides?

Hello All, I am new to the board and I am getting married in Las Vegas on November 17th. I have a couple of questions? The chapel that I am getting married at also does the reception. They have asked that I provide a 'Song List' to them. My fear is that they wont play the music at the appropriate times? Has anyone had a problem with something like this before? Also just in case I need one, does anyone know of an affordable DJ in the Las Vegas, Nevada area?

Welcome Rhondagee, you and I share the same name. I think it is normal for Chapel/Churches to ask for a song list. I wouldn't worry too much, because they have experience in performing wedding ceremonies. I would suggest that you speak with the church's wedding coordinator or administrator about your concerns. I'm sorry I can't help you with a DJ. I wish you all the best and congratulations. Your wedding is six days after mine.

Rosie the site does not show a music list only the format for the proceedings.

OMG!!! Hello my sistas! I didnt even realize that someone answered me. THANK GOD FOR US! I am going crazy with all of the last minute details. But I have talked to several people and they all are saying that it is going to be fine. I am going to put it in the Lords hands at this point because I only have 17 days to go. Daughter Rhonda I have seen your name on several posts and couldnt wait to tell you congrats as well because I know we share the same name and wedding month. :-)

I think that is what she was asking for. She knew what she wanted to play already. Here is a list of songs that might get your creative juices flowing so to speak: African American Ceremony music Oh I forgot to add the Reception Song List. These are member choice songs. Such a great collection!

My fmil is in Vegas right now with her boyfriend. I told her she better not go and get married out there.

Re: Any Las Vegas Brides?

I will keep you ladies posted on the outcome. I will tell you this, I thought that it would be a lot cheaper doing it there, BUT IT IS NOT!!!! I wanted it to be accomodating for all of my guests and since I live in LA and everything is so high here I thought Vegas would be perfect. We ended up spending just as much if not more than it would have been here.

I am getting near the date and nevous, happy, excited, scared, and the whole nine yards so pray for me my sistas as I will you. The scared part is because I went to Davids Bridal and after spending $1000.00 on the dress they wanted to charge me to alter it then put the bustles on it which would have come to over $200.00 so I declined. All I can think of now is what the seamstress said...many brides fall during the reception. lol But my train isnt very long so I think it is just last minute jitters. :-)

Girl, don't worry about what she said, she just wanted the extra money. lol Seriously though, out of all of the weddings that I've been to, I've never seen a bride fall.
