I'm getting married in 10 days and I'm just wondering if my husband to be and I are supposed to exchange gifts with each other???

It isn't a hard and fast rule. If u want to u can. It would be a nice gesture but if u buy your Groom a gift and don't get one in return, don't be offended. My guy and I decided against it because of the budget we are working with. There will be lots of time for that on the honeymoon and onward.
I think the gift exchange is awesome. It is very old world. It was mostly a extra token of love from the husband (the bride gave her dowry). My hubby and I did it. I gave him a watch and got myself a matching one. He gave me a locket to put a pic of our first child when we get one! Very romantic. But it can be a flower or a poem. Just something small when you finally get a moment alone. In the limo on the way to the reception is great!

Just a note of thanks, it's been two months since our big day and we're still all mushy. We did exchange gifts. I was able to really surprise him. Even with ten days left I did some research and surorised him at the hotel with a rare jazz album that he's been trying to find for about a year. To my surprise my hubby had restored my H.S. ring. The setting had loosed and the stone was water damaged and had began turning colors. I payed a pretty penny for that album but it was mere pennies to the look on his face and the biggg smile I got when I placed it in front of him. Thanks again to everyone and Good luck and God's Blessings to all brides and brides to be.

Ooh that is so sweet! Really thoughtful too. I like when someone puts their mind and heart into a gift.

Yes, we're supposed to give each other a gift. I just found that out not to long ago. I think it's a nice practice (weddings are expensive!).
