I thought about Brett after my then favorite wrestler Brett Hart
Girl!!!!! u iz phuneeeee!!!! My 2 year old daughter's name is Ayanna Chantelle. I chose this name after many many names because I never heard of anyone with it.
One of my secretaries' daughters is named ayanna chantelle! Whoa! That baby was SO smart. I bet yours is sharp too.
Mo I just love gymboree on boys! I hope to have a boy some day! I love the name arianna too. I resent when people say African American names have no meaning. But we put so much thought into every name. Even the ones that seem the strangest. I love when people meld the names of both parents to make a name.
My FH just started a new job and one of his coworkes named her kids Sanaya and Cameron Christian...thats so freaky.we picked the exact same name and we've never et before....Her kids are 8 and 5.
That's funny georgiagurl I thought I was the only one keeping the T's alive. My friends would say why do both of your children initals have to be the same.
It is a family tradition. My name begins with a T and so does my husbands as well as all of his siblings. People have asked us the same question and we always answer the with the same answer "Tradition", that seems like such a foreign concept these days.....

My cousins name is Damaris.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
I have no babies yet, but there are between 3 - 5 of them in my future. My little ones names:
Serenity Inas (Inas means Special), Syncerity Iman (Iman means faith), Omari-Saadiq (The highest truth), Sincere Amani (Amani means Peace), & Phoebus Jahari (Jahari means precious jewel - FH's choice name).
All names except for Omari Saadiq are tentative. Omari Saadiq is a definite. I have dreams of him often.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
My choices: Jeremiah,Joshua, my brother's name, Kayla Renee, Lucian (I think its royal-but it stuck out to me) (We'll call him Luke), Meneleik, Nefertari (not likely to happen though), Malachai, Amir
FH Choices: Kayla, Tre Lee (His middle name is Lee)
As you can see, I prefer naming the boys. I think he will name the girls!
It was suggested that I make their names "common" for lack of a better word -so they won't be discriminated against but I am not a fan of that, and I think that a person's name says so much about their destiny. Not everyone lives up to it, but I am definitely wanting their names to be unique, like mine and my FH's!
this was the wrong post for me to click on because I am over here perusing this Poshtots website. I'm planning a baby room with no baby! I am feeling this expensive ass room with the fantasy crib.
Bee, I ike your names.

LOL
My hubby's brother's children all have HIS initial! CAG. Their names are awesome too. All are actual Ancient names. None made up but so hard to pronounce or SPELL. Chioke, Cequoiyah, Cubie-ayah, Canika. I like that. It can really bring a family together.
Well my tradition stopped at two. I got my tubes tied ( not cut and burned, but had rings put on them) so unless I go completely crazy and have it reversed, THE BUCK STOPS HERE!
*BUMP*
thought this would be a fun topic to start again:
My sons-Edward Jarod-Edward from both me & dh fathers names-Jarod is a name my DH decided on BEFORE i woke up from c-section because his middle name was suppose to be Jarae' :)
Jaden Mikell-Jaden from Will & Jada Pinckett Smith's son (since my son was born about 5 months after theirs)and Mikell from my name Michelle and before that c-section I wrote the name down and gave it to my mom to make sure his daddy didn't try the oky doke! :) so yes I had 2 J's Jarod & Jaden (never called my oldest son by his first name)
Tarik Omari - 1st was all his dad's decision (Tarik was the African king that conquered Spain, middle because of the meaning (Omari means king of kings, the highest). My mom gave him the nickname TKO because she said he's a knockout but its since been shortened to TK!
Trinity Elise - Wanted a "T" name that didn't end in a vowel! Trinity means three in one (father, son, and holyghost) so it instanly won me over! I just like the way Elise flowed with it.
Oh, and I can sympathize with Rosey on keeping people in business cause when my son was a baby my mom told me I needed STOCK in Osh Kosh!
My daughter's name is Odyssey Reign. At first I was a little skeptical about the name but now I couldn't even imagine her being named anything else. She is truly a blessing.
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return."
Hey yall! Iam not geting married. I joined this site for my girlfriend, she asked me to "help" her with her wedding. I have never done this before so I came here. This site rocks!!!! I hope I do well by her. But one day I hope I can announce that I will be jumpin the broom! LOL
Odessy Reign and Skylar Katherine are BEAUTIFUL names....I want something unique like that too but my conservative husband makes a face when I bring it up....I'm gonna have to duke it out with him though!
FH and I don't have any children but he has baby names picked out already. He loves the name Trent for his first son. I didn't like it at first and I have to admitt it's still growing on me. But I kind of feel like he's waited his whole life for this so he deserves to name his son. I love the name Isaiah. So it would be Trent Isaiah Salih. Twins run in my side of the family so I like Victory Christina Salih and Victoria Evangelina. I'm still playing around with names though.
Oh we're doing stepchildren also? I have:
Jennifer (after FH's deceased mother)
Marlon (after FH but not a Jr)
Marco (Guess they just wanted another M name)
My son's name is Jalen Alexander- Jalen because he was the first boy in our family and that is the name my mom would have named her son had she had one, Alexander because my grandmother says "Alex" are smart...he's 5. I also was a teen parent & I think my mom was more crushed than anybody but her and my son are totally inseparable now.
When I have a daughter I want to name her Zaria Rayne- Zaria because it means princess, Rayne because it means abundant blessing from above...
Copper naming your daughter after your dad is a great way to honor him.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
I know that meant a lot to him, even though he
When we decide to have children, we will name our son Carlos Garcia Jr, and our daughter we are not to sure yet. We know that we only want 2 kids.
