Ladies, a man followed me last night as I was coming home from work. I instinctively new that he was up to no good so I crossed the street. He crossed the street too. I crossed back to the otherside and he followed me. I crossed back again and reached for my cell phone. I called my fiance and told him that a man was following me and I described what he had on. The man heard me and disappeared. My fiance lives in New Jersey and he is worried that perhaps this man was trying to rob me and doesn't want me to wear any jewelry, including my engagement ring. I am very upset about this because no devil in hell will stop me from wearing my ring. I will be moving at the end of February, but until then my fiance is very concerned. I just wanted to VENT!!!!!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I live in a residential area and there are very few street lights. It is very dark at times. Most of the houses on the street have their porch light off or motion detector lights which only light up when someone enters their yard or driveway. Thank God I will be moving to a well lit apartment complex with 24 hour security -- I can't wait. I am grateful to God for watching over me and keeping me safe.

rhonda that's very disturbing to hear and if you dont mind me asking only because i live in the bronx as well what area do u live in? Please be careful u hear about these things on the news all the time and sometimes we get distracted and are not aware of our surroundings because we are on our cell phones and stuff like that me for instance have a habit of not looking at ppl i also walk with my head down .
I live in the NorthEast, (Eastchester)section of the Bronx. I have also decided to conceal my engagement ring or not wear it at all, if I am not with my fiance. It is better to be safe than to be sorry. Be careful.

You are a lucky, lucky girl! Don't be ashamed to yell at the top of your lungs... even if you are not sure that you are being followed. In my self defense class they said being timid was the number 1 reason we get attacked. We wait until the stalker is close enough to touch us before we try to get away. Ain't no shame in just breaking into a run either. Better to laugh at your self later than wish you had run.

So true Rosetta. I have also decided to just take the ring off unless I am with my future hubby. It gets dark early and sometimes I am by myself. I will be moving in a couple of months, so I can excercise a little patience. It is better to be safe than sorry. God is with me and I am so grateful!!!!
