Buddha VS Tailor Made I love New York 2

Ok Here is a good insight into Buddha's personality. (Dag, and he SOOOO Pretty on the outside too.) Remember NY can get pretty chunky too. All that ranch dressing I suspect. My Blog
Buddha's Take on the Extra Meat

Buddha was also on, "gay, Straight or Taken", "Hell Date" and he is doing "Nip Tuck" this year too. SO evilly fake.

Maybe its because I'm a skinny B by Monique's standards but I don't take offense to what he said. It's his opinion and he owns it. I think people sugar-coat things too much nowadays. Sometimes it just is what it is. We also have to remember to agree to disagree. They responders are no better than him by slamming him for his opinions and beliefs. Maybe it works in his circle. Also, once again I say look at his father and you can see where it started!

He wasn't delicate in his delivery and he was a little judgemental in my opinion, but i agree, I didn't really take offense to his statements.

That's what I mean about sugar-coating. My girls and I know to "put your big girl panties on" when we conversate because whatever needs to be said is coming out in the raw. Over the years when I tried to be delicate, most people thought I was joking because of my personality. Therefore issues weren't addressed. If its something you've been dealing with all your life - OWN IT! That's what I like about Monique but I disagree with putting others down to lift yourself up. I worked with kids for 2 years and if you had any insecurities you were out of luck cause they were calling you out! They can be the biggest reality check of all time!

Re: Buddha I love New York 2

I'm a plumpie. I wasn't always. I was a 3 when hubby proposed and a 10 when we got married. I worked out, tried diets... everything before I found out it was a hormonal imbalance. My problem with Buddha saying it is more that he thinks it is simply laziness that makes most people overweight. There are so many issues ans reasons people are the way they are.

My problem was not helped by the fact I ate only oince or twice a day. Any one else would be rail thin. Not me, Lord. My body held on to every scrap of fat. A life Coach should not be judgmental. They are there to empower, not degrade into action. I feel sorry for the people that pod for his advice.

"mo isn't much better. She got issues.LOL. But she is also a comedian. They say inappropriate things every day and get paid for it.

Ok Rosie. I see that POV now. I forgot he was a life coach also. I def feel you on underlying reasons. I struggle to gain weight. People make all kinds of comments behind that statement! They don't understand it's no fun being a size 0. Nothing fits right if you can even find that size at all. Since I have gained these 20 lbs this year I have never been happier. I'm a size 4 (I know what you're thinking but that's a BIG step for me). My girls still make fun of me because I am so excited to FINALLY have a booty! And it only took 30 years! LOL!

Congrats on the weight gain, Future! I understand how you feel. I didn't start gaining weight until I started taking Amino Acids and working out. When I joined the site, I weighed 130lbs and I wore a size 7/8. What's wrong with that, you say? Well, I'm 6'0". I didn't like being rail thin. I couldn't understand why so many models and celebrities go through drastic measures to be the size that I hated. Now, I'm 165lbs and I'm enjoying the curves.

I forgot to add that New York should be wary of someone whose appeared on so many dating and/or reality shows. How does she know if he really loves her or just wants to be on t.v.?

Re: Buddha I love New York 2

Plat, Future and Soon2B: My sister went through that her whole life! A s a zero people treat you different. It was hard for them to feel confident. In places like LA they would be the height of sexy I guess, but it was painful for them. My sis is so proud to have become a size 4 after all those years. So I can sorta relate to that side as well.

Plat: No one ever really knows what someone's intentions are. We have brides on here who met their husbands online and are as happy as clams. Meeting on TV is safer because they ALL get STD checks and they know how to get a hold of them if they freak out kill somebody and try to flee the country. LOL. Think about all the people you met in a bar and none of your friends even knew them, but you went home with 'em anyway. :)

Re: Buddha I love New York 2

I understand what Buddha was saying, and as a big curvacious woman AND a Nutritionist his facts are there.....One of the biggest things I try to get pregnant women and post-partum (Breastfeeding and non-BF) women to do is to aim for heathy eating habits (now if not before). I tell them gain wait slow (you're not 2 people so you're not eating for 2), so you can lose wait slow and KEEP it off.
Other facts are that obese women are more likely to give birth to Low-birth weight babies, and this trend is highest in African-American women more than any other minority and Caucasian women...he is right...obesity is not a laughing matter....because the ugly truth is you don't see 90-100 year old obese people walking wround here because it also is related to dying younger than the supposed death rates in the US....Research also says "fat and fit" is better than "skinny and sedentary"......

To be honest to poor, crazy Buddha, I think most people would hope they could go further in entertainment once you get in. I mean it has to be human nature. Especially if you are ego driven. I am a little so I get it.

But. he just is the worst sort of man. He walks out on arguments, he is always yelling, he's condescending, he man handles NY and he childish pulling pranks like a 5 year old. Can you imagine being MARRIED to someone like that?

You are right!
Especially the condescening part...Its so obvious....she's clearly taken by him and he knows it....He is using her, and I am just so over it because thats the kind of man she wants but doesn't need-so she will choose him and get burned....but you know what she lost out when she dissed Tango's mom....that takes a real man to stand up and defend his mother like that-especially from a woman you like but don't know that well....she didn't deserve him....I liked Chance but he was too childish, and I guess she realized it....One day she'll wake up...in the meantime I'm already wondering about I Love NY 3....

You are spot on Bumblebeekee! But have you even been whupped by a guy that hasn't even slept with you but the chemistry is there like BAM! and you can't think straight? I think that must be what it is like when she is with Buddha. After the first night of aggressive sex she will get over him in a hurry!

Tango was really cool. He dressed like an over sized 5 year old sometimes and a 60 hep cat flashback the other times. I just couldn't get into his look. But he was very honorable for sticking up for his mother. He shoulda done it in private though. Very tacky dragging that out in public and blowing her off like that. It made for great TV though!

Girl NY is the highest ranked program on Vh1 for 2 seasons and the show with her and flav jumped in ratings when she visited his part 2 set. They are not getting rid of her. If she does pick someone and it works, there will still be a 3. People just love to hate her I guess!

Re: Buddha VS Tailor Made I love New York 2

I don't think he's crazy at all Rosie. Either he's an actor and he's doing his job to entertain and keep himself out there, or he's a man (chavanist as he may be) being whatever the women of the moment wants. When you meet someone you really only meet their representative - and that's in real life!

People have come to "love" New York, or pity her, and I think that feeling makes them overlook the person she really is. I look at her actions: the way she talks, dresses, treats others, etc. In doing this I can't help but see karma coming back at her. Tango loved her the way Tailor Made is "portrayed" to love her and she was disrespectful to his mother behind his back. She's too sexually charged to see her own worth so how can one expect others to see what she doesn't. If Buddha played her the way he states he did, oh well. We can't honestly say she didn't deserve it. I honestly can't say I can believe anyone can fall in love at the level portrayed as you go on group dates with several men vying for the attention of one women, you sit and watch her kiss all over other men, she has sex with one man one night and another the next - REALLY? You found love in that?

Re: Buddha VS Tailor Made I love New York 2

I do agree with you on so many points Future. I know that with men the competition is what makes them fall in love faster. It is a note women have used for thousands of years to get the man they want. (i.e. make him jealous) New York does have a depreciated self worht and at least she had thearapy to help here somewhat.

According to Buddha THEY never had sex on the show, but all that dry humping... Lord. With almost EVERYBODY. GUys fall in love differently from us. But how many women do you know would still date a guy even though they know he is a dog or that he is dating someone else? Some people can move past the multiple partner thing. But in cut away shots you do see looks of disgust on all their faces ev en Tailor and Punk's! This later becomes looks of hurt like when they told her Buiddha was flirting and she sat there and fooled around with him right in front of them!

I still don't get how you can put yourself on TV like that. All out like that, but that's why I'm lil' ole me and not Brigitte Nielson. lol
