The two lofts that I liked don't host wedding receptions. They recommended some others. It is worth looking into, I will keep you guys posted. Thanks again Niquey!

Re: Ceremony/Reception Sites

Kygirl Welcome to the sistahood. I'm guessing you will have your reception and ceramony in the same area. When I was planning a backyard wedding I planned to have the tables set up on both sides of the yard making a center aisle and the guest to be seated at the tables. In my case there wasnt really enough help to set 2 different settings. I planned on having my bridesmaids help me the night before with the tables and chairs and day of for cloths.

You may want to check with the place you are having the event at (if renting) or if you have enough family who will help you can
1.have the chairs in rows and tables behind you so all you have to do is get someone to move the chairs
2.Have the chairs in rows and have someone to set up the tables and chairs after your ceramony.
The only thing with these ideas is your guest will see the process of change and they will have to stand around as everything is going on. But you may be able to reduce their boredom with a coctail hour.

Re: Ceremony/Reception Sites

Thank you for the advice Super Diva. Those were the two ideas that I had in my mind as well. Did you have a backyard wedding or did you havea church wedding. Also, I have another question. Should I have enough tables and chairs for every guest. I know lots of people will mingle around and stand, so I don't know what to do.

Re: Ceremony/Reception Sites

I originally planned for a backyard wedding at my FBIL house but he gets ta trippin at wedding so I declines that place. I will be getting married at a church in March 2007.
As for the tables and chairs you should have more than enough for you guest. Although people will linger around at sometime they will want to sit and you want to have a place for them. Plus you have to consider a few non rsvp guest shoWing up, or wha if the photographer, band and other members want to sit for a minute...you want to accomidate them. I was plannning to have 2 empty tables for my ocassion. You can also consider having special kids tables where they can do fun activities like color or make crafts. You dont want bratty kids annoying your guest becasue they are bored being with all the adults.Just an idfea I got from one or the other ladies.
